January (and some of Feb)

The reason I haven't blogged in a while....

We have been at High School Basketball games, every Tues, Wed. Thurs. and Fri. since the middle of Dec.
(but we wouldn't change a thing), we have loved it and have even gotten to enjoy the girls and boys basketball games as well as being there for half time.

Even the two little girls love going and everyday ask if we have a game that night.  It's also good for getting them to get their homework done right when they get home from school so they can go.
Snow Canyon has an awesome student body that supports both the boys and girls team.
Jadyn and Jorrin both cheering on the team.

On New Years Day Terry and I took the two little girls sledding at Pine Valley

Taking a break for some hot chocolate and cookies.
Ready to hit the slopes again.
We did pretty good we only had two injuries...both Jantzyn and I got plowed.  Jantzyn had a huge bruise on her calf for about a week and I had slight whiplash.
Thanks to good old technology on Jan 6th we were able to celebrate Jake's birthday with him.  We made him some peach cobbler and sang happy birthday via Facetime.

Every time Jorrin had a competition in SLC it snowed and this one was a doozy.  Thanks goodness Terry was able to go with me this time.  This competition was at Murray and the Eshelles did so awesome, they won 1st in all 4 routines and won 1st overall 3A school.

It was fun to get to watch them celebrate each time and have so much fun feeling victory.  I am glad we were there to watch.
On Martin Luther King Day, I had to work so Terry took the two littles on a bike ride.

Then that night Jantzyn had to perform for her school choir at a (very long) program at the Tabernacle.  So after being such a good girl for 2 hours Terry rewarded her by taking her to her favorite place...Krave.

On Jan 26th we traveled (in the rain) to Cedar for Jorrin's Region Drill Comp.  They placed 3rd in Military and ended up taking 4th over all, giving them a spot for state.

This year the coach has been trying to teach them comradeship with other teams so they did a half time routine with the Jetettes during the football season and since then they have both tried to support each other. The Jetettes hugging the Eshelles after Region.

 Celebrating their going to state.
For Christmas we gave Jake tickets to a Jazz Game so we were especially glad the Eshelles made it to state since it was the same weekend we were supposed to go the game.
We headed up early Fri morning so Jadyn could take a tour of UVU and talk to the soccer coach there. While she and Terry did that I took Jaice and Jantzyn and decorated the Eshelles hotel rooms for state. When we were done with those things we headed to Stacy and Ben's and dropped off the two littles.  We took Jadyn and Jake to a quick dinner at Texas Road House and then headed to the game.  It was a lot of fun and the Jazz won. Go Jazz!!

doing the "Titanic" pose over the railing.

The next day we got up and headed to UVU for another full day of drill.

They team did awesome and looked great in all of their routines.  They ended up 8th over all.  Not bad out of 22 3A drill teams in the state.
Terry's B-day was also the same weekend so all my family met at JCW's (our favorite hamburger joint, i think i mentioned before) and celebrated his b-day.

Jaicelyn had her choir concert and had a speaking part.  She has loved choir this year.

January was a full month and I am sure Feb will be the same stay tuned for Valentines and whatever else Feb brings.
