The rest of May 2020

Mother Day
This year I was excited because I would have all my kids home.  But with everything going on both Bridger and Kiel were leaving for California that Day.  So Jadyn and Jake came over for a little while in the afternoon and the kids gave me my gifts.
Jadyn gave me this cute Willow Tree to add to my collection.

And all the girls chipped in on this beautiful book of sayings.

Jaicelyn had this made for me!! And I love it so much!!

And Terry got me the frames (I got 5 so they'll all be the same) to go along with the pictures the girls gave me!!

Jantzyn turns 16
Again with all the Covid restrictions I wasn't sure how we were going to pull off a surprise party for Jantzyn this year.  But I decided we could do a open house in the backyard so the kids could come and go as they felt comfortable.  We decided to just get a couple of Zeppes party packs and let the kids make their own.  So a couple days before her bday Jor made a cute little e-invite and we sent it to her friends.  As it got closer I wondered if we would have anyone show up...The day of her bday her best friend Emalee took her to lunch at Chick-Filet, then Terry and I took her to dinner at Pasta factory.  We came home and opened gifts and then I told her we had some dessert but we had to go in the backyard to eat it.  As soon as we got out there Jaice did a little bday photo shoot and then all her friends starting showing up. She was totally surprised and we were even more surprised when we had at least 30 kids come.  It was so fun for Jantzyn and even though the party was supposed to end at 9 we had kids here around the fire pit until midnight.  After the party she came she gave me a hug and told me thank you so much!! What she was worried about not having any kind of party turned into the party of the year!! HAHA (I think part of it was these teenagers need to have social interaction and it was the first time some of them have been able to be out).  It was so funny because the other girls kept asking me how the heck Jantzyn knew so many people.  I told them she has some awesome friends and I am so thankful for all the support she has.

The young women had one of the girls come and draw this cute art so when Jantz woke up it would be there.

Some of the things she got this year were:  a soccer keychain with her number and name on it.  Usually I take the girls on their bday and get their license.  Jantzyn will have to wait she probably won't be able to get it until July or August with how behind the driving teacher's are.

Lots of leggins, workout shorts, sports bras, and tanks to practice in the hot summer.

She loves these ordor balls for her cleats.  And had asked for some more of them.

Jaice bought her some very expensive purple shampoo and conditioner for her hair.

And since they have been playing mario cart so much, I saw this shirt and knew she would love it.

She saw these orange crocs and fell in  love.  But I was in such a hurry to get them the day I went in I looked at the EUK size and they are huge.  We tried to exchange them but apparantly Hurst isn't doing returns on clothes and shows because of COVID.  Got to love it!

Everyone hanging out until we could get her to go outside.

Jantzyn's photo shoot and photo bomber.

The kids had fun catching up with each other, some played volley ball and badminton, and then they eventually went down to the church to play games and soccer and then about 10 came back tot he house and sat around the fire pit talking.

We have been doing a lot of nights by the fire pit. This night the kids were putting faces over pictures.  We have some really good ones for blackmailing each other but this one was my favorite of the night. HAHAHA.  I still can't stop laughing when I look at it.

On Memorial day our good friends the Nielsen's invited us and our other good friends the Plewes over for a BBQ and movie night in their back yard.  It was soo good to get to see each other and just visit.   The food was so good and the weather was perfect for the movie.. Call of the Wild.

Terry was finally able to take Jantz on her first date.  He picked her up and took her to lunch at Tropical Smoothie.

Jantyn's best friend Emalee had her end of the year dance recital and invited Jantzyn and their other good friend Madi to come watch her. They were only allowed a couple of tickets.  After it was over they went to dinner at Costa and made Emalee sign the program with her autograph.  I am so thankful for such good friends in Jantzyn's life.

And after a very well thought out (i forgot to get a picture) presentation.  Terry and I let Jaicelyn fly to Fresno to visit Kiel for the weekend.  Jaice paid for the ticket herself and we drove her down.  For some reason though terry and I kept thinking she only needed to be there an hour before her flight.  So on thur Terry drove her down only to find out that the baggage check in close 8 minutes before they got there.  So Jaice had two choice either run and try to get on her flight without any luggage or pay $75 and come back the next day.  She decided to pay the extra $75.  So Friday I drove her down again this time in plenty of time to check her bag go through security and be at her gate.  About 10 minutes after we left she called and said they had cancelled one of the flights that day and were combining make her flight 3 hours instead of 1.  When she had missed her flight on Thursday she told Kiel she just wasn't going to come so she could surprise him (she knew Friday was his day off and he would be able to come get  her at the airport) but while she was waiting for the flight he called her and told her he was going to go to the lake which was an hour away from Fresno.  So she ended up snap chatting a picture of her at the airport saying she was coming so he would know to wait and be able to pick her up.  She ended up getting to Fresno at 4:20 instead of the original 2:10 but it was okay and they were still able to go to the Lake.  Kiel was just so excited she was still coming he didn't care he had to wait a little bit. They will fly home together on Monday and head up to Salt Lake for one of Kiel's best friends weddings.

She's all grown up flying by herself.  My children are way braver than I would of been and I'm so proud of them.
