To start the week off right, we headed to the Jubilee of Trees for Family Night. Each of the girls along with Terry and I picked our favorites, we ate some yummy cinnamon almonds Jantzyn bought us with her own money, looked around in each shop and enjoyed the entertainment. Jorrin and Duncan joined us later (forgot to get their picture).
Jantzyn had a couple of favorites!
She posed in front of my favorite for me.
The next day Jantzyn participated in the Geka-Thon ( the annual intermediate school triathlon). She did awesome and beat her time from last year. As soon as we have the awards ceremony I will post her time and place she finished. They took her number so quickly that I couldn't hear what they said.
On Wednesday we headed out around 2:00 to Cedar Mountain to hunt our Christmas tree. Every year is some kind of adventure and this year was no different. We headed up the way to Brian Head and turned off to head up a trail. We found our tree quickly and cut it down just fine. The boys carried it to the truck with no problems. It was when Jake tried to drive off that the trouble started. He had slid off the road a little when parking and was completely stuck in the snow. We tried everything we could to get him unstuck but nothing worked. We finally came to the conclusion he would need to be pulled out. We didn't bring anything to do that with so we all climbed in our car about 5:00, with the sun setting quickly, and drove down to Parowan to see if somone could help. Luckily on the way down we got some service and Jake was able to get a hold of his brother Blaine. He was more than happy to come help. While we waited we decided to head to Cedar to eat (everyone was starving). Terry and Jake rode back up the mountain with Blaine, while I drove the girls back home. We had got some pizza for our traditional tree hunting dinner, so I started cooking that while we waited. Terry texted at 8:00 saying that had made it back to Parowan and were on there way home. We ate dinner (inviting Blaine to join us) at about 9:00 and just visited until around 11:00. We are blessed to have a great in-law family.

The day after thanksgiving was the soccer tournament. It was a challenge this year with two girls playing and having all their games at the same time. We divided an conquered most of their games. The second game on fri they both played at 3:30 Jaice was at Dixie high and Jantz was on the Dixie middle school softball field. It actually worked really well. We placed our camp chairs in the walk way between the fields to the rest rooms and went back and forth watching the two girls. It was so funny when they would score there would be this little cheering section yelling on the south end. The first time Jaice's team scored the opposing team all turned around to see what all the noise was. Then we would be facing the fence jumping up and down and cheering for Jantz. I'm sure we looked ridiculous but it was really fun. They both played really well in all their games. Jantzyn even scored a goal!!! And was fouled really hard helping her team to score the only goal in the championship game. Jantzyn's team didn't let anyone score against them the whole tournament and Jaice's team only had one against them.
Jaice earning money in between games reffing for the tournament.
