Jorrin turned 20 on a Sunday this year and quickly found out how "not fun" adult birthdays are. All she wants for her birthday is a new phone and she isn't eligible for one until the end of novemeber. So, she literally didn't have one gift to open on her b-day. We did try to make it the best we could though. For dinner all she wanted was the yummy salad from Costco that had pumpkin seeds and vinaigrette dressing. She's not a big meat eater so we ended up having Potato soup, with salad, rolls, and caramel apples for dessert. Then the kids played games together and we just spent a low key night as a family. I know it was boring for her but eventually she will love these kind of b-days.
We did finally get to take her for her b-day dinner at Wingers the Friday after her b-day and she even got an asphalt pie (without them having to sing).
