Camping trip 2018 Duck Creek loop B, site 39

The girls all still love camping and we knew this year we had a limited window to go so we picked one out of the two weekends we had open and decided to try Duck Creek.  Jor was driving down from Provo and Jadyn and Jake were going to come up after Jake got off of work at 5:00.  We knew we wouldn't have service so I hurried and pulled up our reservations.  And not knowing there were more than one campsite i just put we are loop B, site 39.  Jor had called just before she headed up the canyon and when we got there she still wasn't there so I told Terry "I bet she is in the village" and sure enough there she was just driving around looking for us. haha.  We got the tents set up and dinner going and starting wondering where Jake and Jadyn were.  When they finally arrived they said "do you know there are three other campsites with loop B.  Whoops, I didn't even think of that..haha.  But they found us and it was all good!! After dinner we sat around the fire and then played games before heading to bed.

Jaice loves the hammock!

Jaice cooking the chili for dinner.
sitting in the car waiting for jake and jadyn to bring her suitcase with her warmer clothes.

They finally made it!!!

headed to the bathroom all together.

Jaice was our dog in the back of the truck.

Everyone had fun with the skipping rocks contest.  I think Jake one for the farthest and Terry for the most skips.

We were surprised how low the lake was.  Last time we were up at duck creek both sides were up to the top of the walk way.

stopping to use the wifi so jadyn and Britnay can keep their snap chat streak.  And Jaice could get a Cotton candy chill.
Terry and his pet rock friend.

our second adventure of the day was to Aspen Mirror lake.  It was short little walk but luckily we passed people that let us know there were Leaches in the water.  So noone did any feet dipping here.

it was so pretty though!

Jaice trying to get a water snake.

Roasting our Costco hotdogs for dinner.

and marshmallows, and star bursts.

Jor's turn in the hammock
Jaice even tried roasting a pickle and guess what everyone said it was delicious.  10/10  Jaice may have invented something that could make her some money.  Who knew roasted pickles?!

and some latter ball fun too!! Jor and Jantzyn played Jay and Jake and lost 20-21 and then me and Jaice played Terry and Jantz and lost 20-21.  So close!!
After it got dark we played more games and sat around the fire again.  Before everyone heading to bed.  Sunday we got up ate packed up and headed home to clean up and relax for the evening before watching a movie and then heading to bed.  Such a fun, relaxing weekend spent with my favorite people in the world!!!
