First Day of School 2012

I remember thinking when Jadyn was just starting kindergarten about the year she would be a senior and how old everyone would be, it seemed liked a long time away but time went so fast and it's here.  I am going to try to savor every second of this year with the girls because it will be an instant and Jantzyn will be my senior.

Jantzyn is in 3rd grade this year.  She went to the first day at Coral Cliffs and then the school we had been trying to change her to called and said they got an opening so she is now in Ms. Hagen's 3rd grade class at Sunset Elementary.  She got a stye in her eye a couple days before school started but she was a trooper and bravely went to school.

Jaicelyn started the intermediate school this year and is in 6th grade.  She came home the first day loving everything about it...she loved the teachers, her classes, the friends in her classes, and that their were lots of new people to meet and be friends with.  She has even been doing her homework with out complaining (we will see how long that lasts).
Jorrin is a Sophmore and started High School this year.  She loved not having to get up at 5:00 the first day (their drill coach let them have a day off).  She also likes all her classes and the people in them.
Jadyn is a Senior this year.  Her first day began by being at the school at 7:30 to fix her classes (they gave her two math classes and not an english class), we waited in line for 2 1/2 hours but got everything fixed.  She is already done and ready for the year to be over. HaHa (typical senior)
I also remember thinking that Jadyn's senior year her and Jor would be in the same school together which hasn't happened since Jadyn was in 4th and Jor was in 2nd.  I wondered if they would like or hate it.  So far they are loving it.  They even have seminary together.  They also have been going to lunch together most days.  They are taking turns going to friends houses to eat, yesterday was our turn.  I thought it was fun to plan a lunch for them and it's way cheaper then them going out to eat everyday.

It's our favorite time of year...soccer season.

I can't believe it's finally here Jadyn's senior year.  They had their first pre-season game on Thurs Aug 9th.  It was fun to be in the stands (sweating) again.  This year Jadyn was picked as one of the three captain's.  She was so excited and honored that the girls chose her.  I think she will have a great year this year.

This year our niece and cousin Callie made the team also so my two younger ones are loving having her sisters at each game to play with.  And it looks like this year we will have half time entertainment each game.  Eshelles look out.
Jantzyn, Gentry and Trasen cheering on the team.
More pictures to come....

Jadyn's best friend

Jake left for college on Thurs Aug 9th so before he left Jadyn and Jake did as much as they could together.  On Mon July 30th (which is a special day for them) he planned a whole day of fun activities. As soon as Jadyn's soccer tryouts were over he picked her up and they headed up to Zion's to attempt hiking Angel's Landing.  The weather was bad so they ate lunch in Zion's and came back home.  Jake dropped Jadyn off to get ready and then he surprised her with a candle light dinner in the place he first saw her (Grandma Losee's house)  then they went and watched Step Up 4 at the theater.
On Jake's last night they included us and Jakes parents in their plans.  We went to the temple and did baptisms/confirmations and then went to Krave.  It was so much fun to be with them, they always have fun  together no matter what they do.   Jadyn (and our family) is going to miss him so much but we will try to get her up north as much as possible to see him.  Good luck Jake we know you will do great!

Jaice is moving on up...to the intermediate school that is

Terry was able to take Jaicelyn to her 6th grade open house so they could walk from class to class and show her the easiest ways to get from each one.  She also got her PE clothes.  She is so excited to start 6th grade. I however, am not so excited to let her go.  This year is always a hard one for me.  I think it's because they grow up so much so fast from here on out.  I know she will do great though.  Love ya Jaice.

Our Attempt at tubing the River

Last year Terry took the two older girls with Rusty and his boys tubing down the Virgin River and they had a blast.  So this year we wanted to take all our girls.  With all the rain we had been getting in July we thought the river would be higher.  We were wrong it was very low and hard to float in.  After we finally remembered where to go (thanks to Aunt Karen) we started down the river at 5:00 pm.  After about 2 mins I knew it wasn't for me and got out.  I decided to drive around and wait for everyone at the meeting point at the end.  After about 45 mins of waiting I knew that it was going to take forever so I decided to go up and down the road.  On my 3rd pass I saw Terry with Jantzyn piggy backing on him and holding 2 of the tubes that had went flat.  I picked them up and told him he was a long way from the ending point.  We decided we better find everyone else and get them out too.  It was starting to get stormy.  So I dropped him off and he started walking the river while I went up and down the road again.  My next find was Jake and Jadyn (not looking happy at all in their bare feet walking) so
I put them in and we made a couple more passes until we saw the rest of the crew with mud (stinky mud) from head to toe. And now Terry was barefoot and bruised (he lost one croc at a time and got all beat up trying to run up the river to find everyone).  Let me just say it was a quiet ride home.  But once everyone showered and ate our yummy homemade cafe rio dinner they livened up again.  At least we made some memories...right?

The Cabin

What can I say about the cabin except every year its fun.  We had good food, fun games and crafts, and lots of smiles.  I was going to try to organize it but it was taking too long so here is a montage of our trip.  Enjoy!
