During soccer tryouts this year we had the coach of a team that combined two teams and moved over to the Heat call and ask if Jantzyn would like to be part of their team. After a lot of prayer and consideration, we (all three of us) decided it would be the best thing for Jantzyn. Terry felt he had taken her as far as he could being her coach. She loves soccer and wants to play in college someday. At first we thought she would be able to play on both her old team and this new team. But because there wasn't enough girls in the age bracket she would only be able to be on the new team. She was very, very sad to not be able to play with some of her good friends, and was a little scared to have to meet new people and wonder if she would get as much playing time on this new team. But knowing Jantzyn she worked her little tail end off and became a starter on her new team, she has gotten to know and love the new girls and has loved the work ethic and fun they have together. She has also loved her new coach. She pushes her to be the best she can but loves each one of those girls and it shows. At one of the games Jantz was fouled hard so Montana ran out and carried her piggy back style off the field. I have never liked change and it's always scary and hard for me, but I am so happy that we all took this leap and it is paying off her.
Jantzyn's first game on her new team was of course against her old team. It was a happy/sad game. I loved having Terry up in the stands with me watching instead of on the side lines. I know how much he stressed about coaching and games, and making sure he played everyone, they were learning and winning. I know there were a lot of people that weren't happy about his decision to be done but it was the right one for our family and him. Looking back he never asked to be a coach but did it only so Jantzyn would have a team to play on. I am glad he had the opportunity to bond with her that way, but if I would of known how hard it was on him and his stress level, I never would let him keep going for as long as he did. We have learned how hard these coaches work and most of them (like Terry) do it for free. So if you get a chance just take a minute and let your kids coaches know you appreciate them and support them.

Jantzyn's coach Montana plays on Dixie Univs womens soccer team. I think Jantz has been to most of her home games and alot of the team try's to come and support her. On their last game the girls got to be on the sidelines with the team and be in their line as the starters were called on to the field.

So thankful for these girls inviting Jantzyn into their group and loving her like shes been playing with them forever.
