Quarter Final Game against Sky View

On Thurs Oct 14th the girls played SkyView at Snow Canyon. One of the reasons the girls wanted to win region so bad this year was to have the chance to play two play off games at home. I think this was a huge factor in the 1-0 win over Sky View. It was a long, hot game but they played hard and the SC defense held Sky View's offense the whole game.

The girls giving thanks for a great season.

Jadyn and some of her #1 fan's.

Semi Final Game

On Mon Oct 18th we headed up to north to watch Jadyn play in their Semi Final game against Timpanogos. The team left around 11:00 that morning and Terry the girls and I headed up around 3:00. We decided to make a mini vacation out of the trip. We ate at Sizzler in Provo and stayed at the Hampton at Thanksgiving Point on Mon night. Tues we got up ate a yummy hotel breakfast (it was actually one of the best continental breakfast I've ever had), and headed over to Juan Diego High School for the game that started at 11:00.

The family enjoying themselves in the hot tub.

The team getting ready to leave for the Semi Final's

Some mothers got together and did a yummy breakfast for the girls before they left. Thanks Tonya for always thinking of them (also thanks for the pictures)!

The starters taking the field.

Getting ready to be announced. Jadyn looks like she is trying to get mentally ready.

The farthest a girls soccer team from the south has ever gotten in the playoffs.

Of course the girls had their fans there too. They were great the whole season.

Rallying together at half time.

Still supporting each other even after a tough loss. 1-0.

Jaice and Jantzyn having fun while we were waiting for the team.

Jadyn made the front page of the sports section of the Provo area paper.
Even though it was a tough loss, our girls played a hard fought game. They held their own and I think the teams up north are realizing they are a team that is not going to go away.

Our family after the game. We are so proud of you Jadyn. What another great season and even though you had ups and downs you came out a better player and person. We love you!

The boys are back in town

Whitney and the boys came down over fall break weekend. We started off the weekend with them watching Jadyn play the quarterfinal soccer playoff game (and melting in the heat). THat night Me, Jorrin, and Whitney went shopping and got some really good deals. On Fri. they played all day, climbed the hills around the house, watched some halloween movies and ate yummy Chili with ghost potatoes on top. Saturday they played some more and made Haunted Halloween Houses. That night we had pumkin cupcakes and they played some more. Jadyn and Kayson were gone the whole time with friends so I guess they had fun too.

The kids (and grandma helping) with their creations

Uncle Ben's Bike ride

Terry's family has ALWAYS been there to support our families activites. So this time when we learned Ben was riding in a 100 mile bike ride we wanted to be there for him.

The kids waiting for him to ride in at the finish line.

Yea, he made it!

The kids rushing over to greet him and Ben happy it was over.
Congrats Ben maybe next year you can do the Iron Man!

Jantzyn meets the Tooth Fairy

A couple of weeks ago Jantzyn lost her first tooth. After weeks of it being loose, biting into apples, and wiggling till it hurt, she finally let Terry pull it out. She recieved a nice letter from her tooth fairy Tina and $2.00 to spend on something fun. She was very excited and can't wait for her next one to fall out.

MIA

Sorry it has been a while since our last post. Here are a few of the things since the last post, I have more but haven't downloaded the pictures on our computer yet (it takes forever to load). Hope this will hold everyone over until I can get to more posting.

Jaicelyn's First Soccer Game

We were finally able to get Jaicelyn on a competitive soccer team. She is the youngest on the team, but she is a hussler and I think has shown her coach she is ready to play. Each game she has learned the game a little better, gotten even more aggresive, and loves playing a little more. I think she has the potential to be a great soccer player and will be just a sfun to watch as Jadyn has been. Jaice getting ready to steal the ball when she throws it in.

I took this picture to show the difference in size. David and Golliath. She came home from one game and said, "I keep getting elbowed in the face." I think you can see why from this picture this is about the size she is to all the people she plays against. But she doesn't give up or let that intimidate her.
