Jaicelyn's Give Me Liberty program

Jaice is following in her sister's footsteps (after much prodding from Terry & I) she got her Give Me Liberty Award. On Feb 8th they had their program and award ceremony.

She was asked to sing the prelude song, and they sang it over and over again. JK it was great!
Singing her patriotic songs.
Saying her part of the program. She got to introduce some very famous men in history!
receiving her award.
So proud!
With her teacher Mrs. Stucki
And some of her friends. I think her favorite part about working hard and accomplishing her goal was Terry and I taking her to Krave. Someday she will be happy about the rest of it.

Jorrin's Eshelle Clinic Dance

After a lot of going back and forth Jorrin has decided to try out for Eshelle's this year. One of her best friends sisters is on the team and loves it. They were having a clinic for girls thinking of trying out, so Jor decided to do it. She did great and I think she has a really good chance of making it. We will keep you updated the end of March as to how she did. But for now a few pictures of her dance at the clinic.

Las Vegas Cup Soccer Tournament

Another fun Martin Luther King Day weekend. Although this year we didn't really get to spend it together. Jadyn had a soccer tourn in Vegas. Fri night her team headed down to play their first game against a Cedar team they won 3-0. Then they spent the night in a hotel together as a team. Sat. Terry, Jorrin her friend Jordyn, and I headed down to watch. While Jaicelyn and Jantzyn got to spend the day with my mom and dad. They went to Costco had their yummy hot dogs, played with the neighbors and then went to McDonalds for dinner. They loved it!
We watched Jadyn's first game which they lost 3-0 to Forza North (an Alta high team). Then we took Jadyn, her friends Mckenzie, and Tirsa and Jorrin and Jordyn to the mall to shop in between games. The girls loved it and found some good bargains. Terry accomplished his goal of going in every store in the mall. It was funny to watch the employees as he would walk in and turn around and walk back out. Oh well it passed the time for us. That and cinnamon pretzel sample, haha. Then we headed back to Jadyn's 2nd game that they won 4-1 against a Washington State team. That put them in the championship game. We just had to wait and see against which team. Turns out they would be playing Cedar again.
Sunday we went to church and then came home to catch up on our sleep. Mon. Terry, Jadyn and I headed down to Vegas one more time while the three other girls stayed with my mom and dad again. This time they got to go the Pasta Factory for dinner. They were definitely spoiled this weekend (we brought back Jaicelyn some new cleats and Jantzyn a cute new shirt and necklace). Now back to the tournament. The girls played a great game and beat Cedar 1-0.

Jorrin and Jordyn got a hold of the camera.

Can you guess who took this picture of boys....hmmmm

They're no. 1!

Congrats on another great tournament!

New Years 2011/2012

How we rang (or should I say banged) in the New Year.

Whitney and the boys were down for New Years this year. After we had a yummy New Years dinner we decided to show grandma our new Dance 3 game we got. She joined right in on the fun.

Grandma was a good sport.
cute little Bryton.
I had to work on the Mon after New Years so Terry had the girls help him do some cleaning and promised them on Tues we would have a fun family day. We had been wanting to go sledding but since there was no snow we decided to try sand sledding.
The girls climbing back up the hill after one of their attempts
Jorrin posing before she begins her run.
It didn't work as well as we would have like but the girls still had fun trying.
Tavin almost biffing it on his first try.
he finally got the hang of it...make someone pull you.
My turn
it was actually pretty fun.
but exhausting climbing back up the hill
Jantzyn making "Sand Angels"

Jaicelyn trying it on her stomach.
Jake trying to get Jadyn to get a little dirty.

Tavin thought it was a group hug and decided to join in.
After we got tired of running up and down the sand hills Terry took the two little girls on a short hike on one of the trails in Snow Canyon.

they loved it of course.
One of Terry's New Year's resolutions is to get in shape. He has gotten a good start!
