Annual Veyo trip a couple weeks early

We usually go to Veyo on Labor Day but since Stacy and Ben were moving in Aug. we decided to go on the 24th instead.  The day was stormy (like all of July) so we kept going back and forth as to whether we should go. At about 3:30 we finally decided to just do it.  But like usually life had plans of its own.  We weren't very far up the road when we got a flat.  Luckily eveyone was behind us.  We called Dad Losee and told him to stop at our house and grab our spare tire.  Come to find out the spare we have isn't for the van.  So Terry and his dad ran to a tire store (we are lucky one was open on a holiday) and got another tire. After an hour delay we finished our way up to Veyo.  Its was so much fun.  Eveyone swam for a little while then we roasted hot dogs and had yummy chips and salad.  Then the kids caught a lot of crawdads and swam a little more.

These three always manage to entertain themselves no matter what we are doing.

Jadyn and Jakes Zion Trip

Jadyn and Jake had a bucket list of things they wanted to do this summer before Jake left for college.  Some of them they weren't able to do because of Jadyn's knee but one they made sure they did get done was going to Zions.  They planned the whole trip out with food and treats and even made sure they had a trusty pocket knife.

eating lunch before they started their hikes.
 first stop Emerald Pools.
they hiked about 5 mins with the back pack before riding the shuttle back to the car and leaving it there.  Live and learn.

they took lots of cute head shots.

They saw lots of beautiful sights.

they had a great time and wanted to do it again.  In fact about 2 weeks later they tried to hike angels landing but it was very stormy and had to give it up.
I think this picture says it all about how much fun they have together.

Soccer Camp

This was Jadyn's last high school summer soccer camp.  She was still recovering from her knee so they took it very easy on how long and what position she played.  They played her mostly as forward which she doesn't know a lot about but loves doing it.  She likes to score.  I think she got a couple of goals through out the week and did end up playing defense a little towards the end too.

July 4th

4th of July this year was a chill day.  Jadyn had soccer camp so we went to her games and then just took the two little girls to the park to play on the slip and slide and swimming at the city pool.  After we ate a yummy BBQ dinner and went to watch the fireworks.

We also had a lot of lightening and freak rain storms in July.  Jantzyn doesn't like the thunder so she tried to help make herself feel safe.....
she came up with wrapping her favorite blankets around her head so she wouldn't hear it as loud and holding on to her flip flops so she would have rubber and she also had rubber bands around her wrist.
We also had lots of snow cones in July.
