Seven Peaks meets the Losee's

One of our good friends oldest sons mission fairwell was Sun June 23, so we decided we would make a weekend out of it and use our Seven Peaks passes all day on Sat.  The park opened at 9:30 for pass holders and we knew it would be busy so we tried to get there as close to 9:30 as we could.  After finding Kevin and Jen's family who had saved a nice shady spot under a tree we got our tubes and headed out.  The kids wanted to try the wave pool first so we headed there.  After the wave pool ended we all went our different directions.  The big kids hit the big rides and some of the adults and little/middle ones went on the middle (by scary meter) rides.  We spent the rest of the morning meeting up and separating for the rides.  At about 1:00 we headed to the parking lot for lunch.  Then back in for the rest of the day.  Everyone had their fill about 6:30 and we headed to JCW's for dinner.  It was such a fun day.  The girls can't wait to go again.  Hopefully we will get back to Seven Peaks one more time before our passes end.

I don't think we can ever go anywhere without some kind of unplanned adventure.  This time we were about 7 miles out of Nephi when our tire shredded and Terry quickly and safely got us to the side of the road.  The problem was we didn't have a spare and getting a tow truck to take us somewhere opened on a Sunday was impossible.  Thank goodness for wonderful family.  Kevin and Brandon came and picked us up and took us back to Keviin and Jen's for the night (the kids loved that part).  They fed us and made room for us to sleep.  Then at 7:00 am Terry and Kevin went to walmart to get a new tire.   Again Kev and Brandon drove us back to the car and Terry put on the new tire.  We were headed home by about 8:45.  I was actually proud of myself.  I think i stayed pretty calm and optimistic throughout the whole ordeal.  I new we were blessed but i think it really hit me the next day when i read that a family from Las Vegas heading north mon morning had a blow out but the outcome was not good.  they ended up rolling and only the dad had his seat belt on.  The last i heard they were all in critical condition.  I am so thankful Heavenly Father was looking over us and that Terry reacted as fast as he did.  I know it wasn't as easy as he made it look to get over as fast and carefully as he did.

Jor Gets a Job and a Car!

Jor started her first day of work at Osh Gosh on June 4th.

Terry told Jor as soon as she got a job we would start looking for a car.  We had been looking for a cheap (2000.00 and under) car for a couple of weeks. I had shown Jor a couple cars on kKSL but she really didn't like any of them.  She kept saying she would love a little light blue car.  We told her that probably wouldn't happen and the car would be old for the price we were looking at.  While Jor was at dance camp I happened  to look at the KSL sight at about 4:45 pm (I had already looked that day and there was nothing new on it).  A 2003 Saturn Ion with 111,000 miles for 1695.00 was posted by a dealer.  So I called right then to see if they still had it.  The guys said someone was looking at it but they still had it.  I asked why it was so cheap first of all and then said my husband would be home in 15 mins we would like to see it.  He told me they had just taken it in on trade and they marked it up $150 and decided to just sell it as is.  He also told me the person looking had to leave until the next day and the first person to pay would get it.  So as soon as Terry got home we went.  They had just put it in to detail it but they covered the wet seats and let us test drive it.  While we test drove it we went to the bank to get some money and called Dad Losee and Jake's dad (who is also a mechanic) and asked them what they thought.  They both said for the price we probably can't go wrong.  So we drove it back to the dealership (when we pulled up they told us there was a lady waiting in the lobby that came 5 mins after us that wanted it if we didn't and the phones hadn't stopped ringing).  We felt pretty lucky that we came when we did.

They finished detailing it for us and we picked it up the next day before Jor got home from dance camp.  Terry had to go home teaching so we parked it at my moms and dads to hide and told Jor to come home around 9, that dad and I wanted to talk to her for a minute.  We got the car and parked it in the drive way.  We were our front when she pulled up with about 4 friends.   I think one of the boys asked whose car that was.  The look on Jor's face was priceless and when she got out the van and started fist pumping and dancing it the street it was so funny (i wish i would of had the video for that). She was so excited and kept asking how we were able to get such a nice car for the price we had told her we wouldn't go over.  Then she kept saying "its even blue like i wanted".  It was a fun surprise and I think she will always remember the day she got her first car.

Jor took all of her friends for a spin around the church.  They said she kept screaming and squealing with delight and they said when she realized it had a sun roof she screamed and squealed even louder.

While I am telling Jor car stories I have one more to tell.  The first night she got to drive it (after getting it insured) so got pulled over for doing donuts in the SC High parking lot.  We also discovered i put the wrong part of the insurance card in the car too.  I talked with the police officer that told me "that because she was a minor he could suspend her license for a year, impound the car, give us some kind of ticket for $320.00 and that it was also trespassing since it was at the school.  But he asked since she was a minor that he would ask me what i would like to do.  I let him know it was her first night and she was a little excited.  I apologized for putting the wrong part of the insurance in.  He was very nice and said he would put it as an official warning.  Jor came home in tears and told us she didn't know it was illegal to do donuts (either did I).  We told her she wasn't in trouble, but we hoped she learned something and would be more careful with her car.  She promised she would (and i think the cop scared her bad enough we won't have to worry about it).  I did make sure and write him a thank you email.  He could have been a jerk but chose to give her and the others she was with the benefit of the doubt that they are good kids.

Jorrin Dance Camp

This year Eshelle Dance camp was June 11-13.  Jor said it was hard but fun.  We got to watch them do some of the routines they learned on the last day of camp.  They looked really good this year and won several awards at camp this year too!  I can't wait to see what they do this year.

Jantzyn's Swimming Lessons

Jantz is the last one to take swimming lessons.  It seems so weird to only take one child.  She loves it and keeps learning more and more.

What Jadyn would be like if she got high (aka: Jadyn gets her wisdom teeth removed)

On Tues June 4th Jadyn got her wisdom teeth out.  She swore she would just be normal and wouldn't do anything funny.  Terry and I were laughing so hard when we went in the recovery room that we were crying.  She was hilarious for about 3 hours after she got them out.  I didn't get very many pictures but the video is priceless.  I promised her I wouldn't put it on the internet.  But some day her kids are going to love watching it.  If you ever get a chance ask her to show you how she can be a lizard. HaHa...

Mary Poppin's... Tuachan Style

Every Year Grandma and Grandpa Losee take the grand kids to the opening night of Tuachan.  This year they weren't ready on opening night and it got postponed. They were able to get a couple more tickets and the adults got to go too.  Everyone had a great time!

Jantzyn Learns To Skate

Jantzyn couldn't wait to try out her new skates so Terry and I took her down to the church for her to learn.
