Halloween

This year Jantzyn wanted to be something scary so she chose a vampire Queen.

We put make-up on to make her look white and she even wanted a little bit of blood.

oooh...scary

She was so proud of her haunted house she made in school we had to take pictures.

Jaice and her group of friends wanted to be the "Nerd Herd".  They made shirts to wear to school together that said "Nerd Herd" on them and they had a lot of fun.

This we decided to go trick or treating in the Shadow Mountain neighborhood.  We had heard they go all out, and it was true.  There were people giving out root beer floats, hotdogs, homemade scones, otter pops and big size candy bars.  THey also had houses that had haunted houses, movies showing, dance parties, and even live snakes you could pet.  The girls loved it.  When it got dark we headed to the church for our annual Halloween family dinner and game night.  It was yummy and a lot of fun.

Jorrin's 17th B-day

We don't get to see much of Jorrin these days.  Once they have a car and can drive themselves we don't even get to visit while we taxi.  Her b-day was no different.  I wished her a happy b-day the way you do now...on instagram and facebook.  And we saw her for about 1 hour while we opened her presents then her friends surprised her and took  her to dinner and to watch Thriller.

She got lots of clothes, some new converse (so she would stop wearing Jaice's), a gift card to victoria's secret (she likes their perfume not undies), and a new watch.

Fall break fun

During fall break, Jaicelyn decided she was going to try to be brave and go through the haunted corn maze.  So we drove her and some friends out and decided we would take Jantz through the regular corn maze while we were there.  While Jaice waited for a couple more friends to get there we walked through the petting zoo and played on the farm playground.

After we had been in the corn maze for a while we got a call from Jaice saying she just couldn't do the haunted maze (the scary clown the rode the hayride with them did her in).   So we found our way out and went and got her to go through the regular maze with us.

Since she decided not to go through the haunted maze we paid for, Terry decided to go through himself.  While we waited the girls went back over to the farm play ground area and played.

Jaice and her friends.

The next night was friday and the BLM was having a family friendly zombie moonlight hike so we decided to take the two girls.  It was more fun than we thought it would be.  They gave us black lights to look for scorpions and tarantulas.  We also looked for bats, coyotes, and snakes.  We weren't lucky (unlucky) enough to find any though.

On sat we took the two little girls to Dixie State's tailgate party.  They always have yummy bbq hamburgers and lots of treats and the girls love to play on the equipment and visit the booths.

When that was over we went and picked out our pumpkins and made Caramel Apples.
Sometime's I think it's funner to stay at home and find new adventures in town than to travel.  This was one of those weekends!

Coach Jadyn

At the end of the soccer year last year Coach Kunde told Jadyn if she decided to go to school at Dixie State he wanted her to help he coach the next years team.  He didn't forget and kept bugging her until she couldn't say no (with the help of us giving her a little push).
She enjoyed it and looked forward to her tues and thurs nights.  She also loved being with Calli one more year.
