Spring Break!!

This spring break was a little last minute idea from Terry.  And it turned out to be one of our funnest.  We weren't planning on doing anything but Terry realized that there was a jazz game and the bon jovi concert one day after each other and the Vivint Arena and since we had seen Jor for a while, and  Jadyn and Jake were already going to be up there for the Jazz game on Saturday night.  We figured we could go to the temple and do baptism too just to make it a well rounded trip...haha.  Then one of Jaicelyn's friends invited her and another friend to go up on tues and stay a couple of days at her dad's condo.  We decided we would let her do it and then we would get her thursday afternoon when we got up there.  You always get nervous sending your children but they need to have experiences and so we let them go.  On thursday morning around 3:00 we got a call from Jaice saying they had been in accident but that they were all sore but fine.  But that Sam's car was not.  She said it had happened around 12:30 but she was too scared to call me thinking I would be mad so she called Jor instead that told her to call me...haha.  She said they were all a little stressed and couldn't sleep.  So Jor and her friend Drew went and picked Jaice up at 4:00 in the morning and kept her with them so she could relax a little.  She kept her all day and then took her and the other girls to the tow lot to get the rest of their things out of Sam's car since it would be totaled.  Sam ended up riding home with another friend that was up there and Ashlyn went with her Aunt that lived up there to get an mri for her concussion.  Sam ended up getting checked when she got home and had broken her thumb and had an concussion also.  Luckily Jaice was in the back and was only sore and bruised a little.  I was so thankful the whole way we were driving up on Thursday that Jaice and everyone else were ok.  It could of been so much worse.

When we got up there Thursday Jaice was at Jor's apartment so we headed there so I could hug my child and pick up Jor for the game.  They had just eaten so we decided to go eat dinner after the game and headed up to Salt Lake to the game.  We love Jazz games and this was Jantzyn's first time going and she loved it too!

One of my co-workers love the Jazz so during half time Terry and Jantzyn got on TV and held up the sign for her.  She saw it and loved it!!

There was a huge fight during the game and the crowd loved that too!!

After the game we headed to our favorite JCW's ate and then took Jor home.

On friday we had all day before Terry and I headed to Bon Jovi.  Jaice was still sore and just wanted to sleep so we took Jantzyn and went to check out Scheels.  We spent a couple of hours just looking at all the fun animals and shopping and then Terry and Jantz went on the farris wheel.

We stopped on the way back to Austin's and got the girls some lunch/dinner.  And then headed back to Salt Lake for the concert. It was another awesome concert and I think it may be the only one Terry and I have been to without kids since we have had them.  After the concert we hung around for a while just enjoying watching everything and then headed back to Austin's.

On Saturday morning we headed to the Timpanogas temple to do baptisms.  We didn't realize that this is one of the busiest temples and that if you don't have family names only the kids can do the baptisms.  So Terry was able to baptize the two girls and Jake was able to help him do confirmations but me and Jay just got to watch.  It was still fun and spiritual to just get to be in the temple.  Jadyn and Jake left a little early to go get their new truck and after we were done we headed to Austin's to get changed, and head home.

On our way home we stopped at Jor's school and she gave us a tour and introduced us to her cute classmates.

Three more tournaments

There was a small tournament in St George on Feb 2 and 3rd.  So the girls wanted to push them selves and entered in the high school division again.  They ended up winning the tournament and again we loved watching them play (and win)!!

The weekend after that they had a hard tournament in Mesquite.  We played some very had teams from up north and ended up falling a little short. We lost in the semi finals in a shoot out (I hate those).  The girls played so hard and Jantzyn again had some amazing goals throughout the tournament.

I think we had a free weekend and then headed down to Vegas for our hardest tournament yet.  It was an international tournament and we played high ranked teams from Arizona, California, Oregon, and New York.  We won all of the games but again ended up losing in the finals coming in 2nd. But the teams rankings in Utah have now gone up to 5th in the State.  Not too shabby for these hard working girls!!!  Plus we had another fun getaway weekend with the girls (except for the freezing temps)!!

Cold, windy, cloudy skies

warming up after our first game at Zupas!

We didn't play our second game friday night until 9:30 our time and it was the coldest soccer game I have ever sat through.  The wind was so cold.  We felt so bad for the girls out there in their shorts.  But it was worth it we got another win!!!

On Saturday we had some time before our other 2 games so we took the girls to the old part of Vegas and walked down  Fremont Street.
We also stopped and Terry got his picture where Jon Bon Jovi got married!

Team lunch at Jimmy John's

Warming up on another freezing day!  I loved how they had flags from so many countries all around the field.

The next weekend we had a friendly scrimmage tournament in St George again and played another high ranked team from up north.  After the 2nd game we took the girls to get Gushers for their treat for winning (what a funny request).  And then headed back to our house where they hung out and ate their winnings.
