Panthera Reunion

On Saturday I went to the Pine View High Panthera Drill Team reunion. It has been 20 years since I graduated and probably 18 since I have seen our advisor Sheri Hill. She has terminal cancer and has really wanted to get together with the girls she was advisor to. It was so fun to see her (she looks and acts just the same) and the girls I spent almost everyday with for 2 years of my life. Everyone looked so good and it was fun to hear what they were all up too and about their families.

There was lots of food but everyone was so busy talking that noone really ate. There were girls there from all the years Sheri was over Pantheras. These are the girls I was in it with.

Christy (Tobler) Jenkins, Kelli (Whitaker) Brinkerhoff, Julie (Smith) Spriggs, Margo (Bostwick) Lister, Me, Christy (Palmer) Roesch, Sheri (Hill) Lamb, Stacy (Losee) Peterson.

My Girls

Jorrin decided she wanted to do the school "Gekathon" (a mini tri-athalon). So we trained a little and she showed up last wednesday to see if she could do it. She ended up finishing under an hour in 21st place out of 50 or so girls. We are so proud of her!

Jor waiting to start the swimming portion.

Swimming one of the 12 laps they had to complete.

Running to the dressing room to hurry and get ready for the biking portion. I couldn't believe how fast she changed and made it out to her bike (she has never gotten ready that fast at home before).

Jor on her stroll. She liked the biking part the best. She didn't even look like she was trying and she past most of the girls that were ahead of her swimming.
They had to ride their bikes from Sand Hollow to Lava Ridge Int.

Running her second lap of the 2.3 miles they had to run.

She doens't look any worse for wear. Jor right after she finished.
Way to go Jor we love you!

My Girls...Continued

One of Jadyn's last soccer games of the season. This is the third season they have played as a team and they are getting so much better. Even from the beginning of the season to now, you can see the improvment. We are so proud of her and the player she is becoming.

Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear Jorrin!

Jorrin has finally turned the big 12. She is so excited to be in YW and hang with the big girls. She had a good birthday, except she ran the mile that day in school and ended up getting a little dehydrated so she didn't feel very well that night. We took her to Winger's for her B-day dinner and had a nice little family night watching her open her presents and eating cake.

Jor blowing out her candles. I think she got them all. What did you wish for Jorrin?

Even though she is 12 now she still likes to play games.
Jor wearing her gift from her friend. Can you guess what she gave her?

Daddy Daughter Date

This year's Daddy Daughter Date theme was 50's. My mom graciously was volunteered to make my and the girls poodle skirts (although none of us had a poodle on). We had old fashion hamburgers and did some jiving and played the price is right (I bet you didn't know that started back in the 50's). Jadyn even won a bubble gum machine and some old coke glasses and rootbeer. We had a great time. It was Jor's first YW activity and she had a great time dancing with Terry and getting to know the girls.
