Other Random Summer Activities

Terry and Jadyn, Jaicelyn, and Jantzyn went to the Dirt Farm.

Jantzyn's favorite part was playing and listening to the Coyote's with Terry at night.

Jaicelyn loved being able to drive her own 4-wheeler.

Jadyn had just got done with youth conference camping in Enterprise for 3 days so I think she enjoyed it but ended up coming home a day early because she was done camping. Tavin of course came with her and they ended up having fun watching Barbie Movies with me and Jor.

Terry enjoyed being in the cool outdoors and playing games with the family.

For Jaicelyn's B-day we gave her a dinner and a movie date night with mom and dad. We took her to eat at the restuarant of her choice Winger's and then to watch Cars 2.

We also went to Brian Head to a cabin with Terry's family. Where we learned Tavin has a mean way with the crochiet needles. We also watched the women's world cup semi's where USA had an awesome come back to win Brazil.

How my kids have spent most of their summer days. Its been fun but I and I think they are ready for school to start again.

20th Anniversary Get-A-Way

20 years of marriage is a pretty good accomplishment these days, so we wanted to celebrate together. Terry had been wanting to see the Journey, Foriegner, Night Ranger concert in Salt Lake and it just happen to be around our anniversary date so we planned our getaway for Salt Lake. Terry picked me up from work in Hurricane at noon and we drove off excited to have a fun relaxing weekend together. We arrived at the Rio Tinto stadium bought our tickets and then headed to Sizzler (his pick) for dinner (it actually was yummy). Then headed over a little early to the arena to check it out and people watch (my choice).

The Rio Tinto Stadium (and Terry of course).

They had Night Ranger come out at 8:00 and sing a couple of songs to get the crowd hyped up. Then there was 1/2 hr break before Foreigner came on, they did about a 45 min show and then there was a 15 min break before Journey. This picture is the break between Night Ranger and Foreigner.

Checking home to see if everyone got to be where they needed to be (even though we are taking a break the rest of the family is still running around like crazy people, thanks mom and dad for getting them everywhere).

Terry seeing what its like to be a defensive player like Jadyn.

On Fri. we slept in, and then went to the Salt Lake Temple to do a live session. I had never done one before and it was sooo neat. It definitly kept my interest the whole time.

Isn't it beautiful.

After the temple we walked through the grounds (and all the wedding parties) and decided to eat lunch on top of the Joseph Smith Memorial building at a restuarant called "The Garden". Terry got a salad wedge (he loves those things) and a huge hamburger, and I got a very yummy chicken salad croissant with fruit. We just took our time and ate. It was wonderful.

Only part of our view from our table. You could see the whole lower half of the valley from where we sat. The weekend we went was also Pioneer Day Weekend and so I thought a lot of our ancestors that settled Utah for us.

After our spiritual morning. We planned on seeing the exciting Harry Potter 7 conclusion. We drove to the Gateway and walked through a couple shops on our way to the theatre. Then we watched the exciting movie. After the movie we did some more shopping, went back to our hotel changed into more comfortable clothes, and went back to check out temple square. Then we stopped at Cafe Rio for a late night dinner and went back to the hotel to swim at the 24 hour pool.

Getting ready to enjoy the hot tub and quiet of the empty pool.

Terry trying to stand on a ball.

Just enjoying being with each other.

On Sat. we slept in again and then got up and did some more shopping. Not for us though it was all for the girls soccer and dance supplies. We got Jantzyn her cleats (size 9), shin gaurds and soccer ball. Jadyn new soccer cleats, slips and spankies. Jorrin running socks and sports bras, and Jaicelyn soccer slips.

It was a very fun and relaxing weekend together. I cant wait until our next getaway. Until then, I will just enjoy that fact I have had and will have a best friend for eternity.
Love you Buddy.

Jorrin is brace free!!!

Congratulations Jorrin. She got her braces off June 20th...

Before..............

After.... What a beautiful smile. Thanks Simister Ortho (just a little plug there).

Jaicelyn's B-day Party

For her 11th B-day party she wanted a BBQ and to play night games. I didn't even have to think about saying yes (one of the easier parties I've had to do).

We started the night about 7:00 with guest arriving and hagning out until the yummy food was ready. We had the traditional hamburgers, chips, pickles, watermelon, grapes, and of course yummy slush to keep them cool.

after they ate they started the night game fun. THey played capture the flag.

a round of animal antics. they also played cops and robbers.

Then they came back to our house for ice cream cones, cookies, and opening Jaice's presents.

A picture of the silly goup of girls. I think Jaicelyn had a great time and I think her friends did too.

Girls night

Terry took Jadyn, Jaicelyn, and Jantzyn camping at the "Dirt Farm" with his family this weekend. Jorrin had to cheer at the last Dixie Rebel football game so she stayed home with me. We went shopping at Ross, Lowe's (for me), and TJ Max. Then we ate at Panda Express, got a snow cone, and watched Eclipse. It was a fun mother/daughter date and also gave me a chance to catch up on a few blogs, see below. Now I am off to get only myself ready for church. Happy Sunday.

Our friends the Wrights

Some friends of ours that we have known since we were going to school in Logan about 19 years ago came down to see the play at Tuacahn.. We met them Saturday for dessert at Krave and then went to the "Spinny or Dizzy" park for the girls to play. They also have 4 girls all around the same ages as ours, and it was so fun to just catch up and remember how much fun we have together. The older girls didn't like it so much especially when we started comparing cell phone rules and dating rules. It was a very fun night and it reminded us we need to make special effort to get together more often.

We were having so much fun this is the only picture I remembered to take the whole night.
