Jadyn's Senior Pictures

One of the girls i work with has a sister in law that just started doing photography.  She did our family pictures last year in Nov and i thought she did a great job (espcially for the price), and the girls all really liked her, so we decided to have her do Jadyn's senior pictures.  I think they turned out so cute!

This one is my favorite!

Which one is yours?

October...Wow what a month (see 8 following posts)!!

October was a crazy, amazing, eventful month.  First I will start with Jadyn (and our) road to the 3A State Soccer Chamionship.

After Jadyn getting hurt and not being able to play her last two high school regular season games, she was very excited to play again in the state finals.  Their first game was on my B-day against Stansbury.  They won easily 3-0.  Jadyn got a yellow card and didn't get to play some of the second half because the coach didn't want to chance her not being able to play in the game against Juan Diego

Their 2nd game, at home again, they knew would be one of their hardest they have ever played.  They played Juan Diego last year in pre season at Juan Diego's stadium and lost 1-0, but they knew they could do it especially on their own field and they did.  Sarah Henderson scored on a pk with about 20 min left in the second half.  The awesome defense took over from there, holding Juan Diego from scoring the remaining minutes.  SC won 1-0!

The pure joy on Jadyn and Lauren's faces says it all.
We also had a surprise visit from Jake, he hadn't been able to see any of Jadyn's games this year so he drove down that morning to surprise everyone and watch her and spend the weekend with his family, our family, and Jadyn.
I love the above picture after Jadyn saw him and started running to him. Jor decided she would act like Jadyn was running to hug her, you can see Jadyn throwing her out of the way.
She was sooo happy to see Jake.

She also got interviewed by one of the papers.  She doesn't like that part of fame.  She would rather just do her thing, but it was fun to watch and read.
Coach McKenna had told the girls at their team night before that he loved his right pinky, but he would love it if they won state so much that he would be willing to cut it off for a state championship.  So the girls were all holding up their pinkies for Coach McKenna.

Also during this time we thought we might lose Grandma Kendall.  On Fri night around 4:00 Terry called me and said his dad had called and said we better come say our good byes, that grandma had been unreponsive all day.  So we took the girls and headed over, all of Terry's cousins came from Las Vegas and his uncle drove down from Salt Lake to say good bye.  The night was a rough one Gma kept having seizures and would take minutes between breaths but she made it through and the rest of Terry's brothers and sister's families made it down on Saturday.  We sang a family song and had a prayer. The doctors said it would only be a couple hours longer.  But grandma is stubborn and on Sunday woke up, said she was hungry, and wanted to eat.  She had another couple scary moments after that, but I think they finally realized it was everytime they gave her morphine that she was having these episodes.  When they stopped she has been fine and is recovering well.

Jadyn after going to church with Jake and his family while he was down.  These three always have so much fun together.
Back to the state finals.  Game 3 the semi's, was to be played at Jordan high school against Wasatch.  The girls played this team last year in the playoffs also and beat them  2-0.  But they knew this team was much better this year and would be hard.  Especially on a neutral field.

They had a lot of team nights and bonding during the playoffs, which i think is one of the reasons they won.

The girls had practice, came home and got ready, went back for a team lunch and to head up north.

I loved watching Jadyn get to go out each game and be a captain.
these girls trully love each other.
the girls had another amazing defensive game.  The score came with about 18 mins left in the second half and the defense did their thing for the remainder of the game again.  They won 1-0.  It was probably the most nervous I have been this whole season just because I knew this was the farthest they have ever gotten and how bad Jadyn wanted to play in the finals.
SC has always had great fans and even though it was fall break many of the students came up to watch.  In this picture they had made tunnel for the team to run through.
Coach Kunde telling the girls to enjoy the victory for a while but that at the end of the night they needed to be focused again.
 Our family's amazing fans.
 One of my Favorite pictures

I don't think my mom and dad have missed one of her games this year.

After the game we decided to unwind by taking Jorrin shopping for her B-day, letting Jantzyn play with Jenna, reading all the newspapers about the playoffs, and enjoying Austin's yummy "Winger's BBQ chicken".  The team got to go to the BYU women's soccer game, where they put the team on the Jumbo Tron and wished them good luck on the final the next day.  Jadyn said it was a lot of fun.  The next morning they also got a very cool treat.  One of the girls mom's is President Monson's nurse and was with him in Germany so while she was face timing her daughter President Monson got on and spoke to all the girls on the team and wished them good luck.  I bet not very many teams can say that they got a good luck from the President of the church.
The Final Game.  The Warriors against Park City Miners.  They play the finals at Rio Tinto and you could feel the excitement in the air when you walked in.

The team always does this really cool formation when they start their warm ups.  It was fun to see them do it at Rio Tinto.

You could see the focus in all of the girls as they warmed up.  They were excited to be here but also knew that just being there wasn't good enough.  They wanted that trophy.

My cute captain doing her last coin toss.

The whole team being introduced.  It was very cool.
 Jadyn taking her final bow.
The team getting pumped up and ready to play their hearts out.

Jadyn doing her long balls
Our fan section was amazing too.

The game was another defensive battle of course.  The first half the girls had the wind and the sun against them.  I knew if they could just hold off Park City for the first half they would have a chance to win.  They did and in the 32 min there was a hand ball at the 30 yard line.  The coach picked Sarah Henderson to shoot it (she scored the pk against Juan Diego).....
and she did again!
Then the defense did their thing one more time.  They held them from scoring for the last 8 mins and it's still had to believe but.....SC LADY WARRIORS WON STATE!!!

All the seniors with the trophy
 The starters with the trophy
 the whole team.
And again the fans.

We have always liked Coach Kunde and are so thankful he took a chance on a no name girl.

After we went for a victory dinner.  Jadyn couldn't wait to eat a steak and drink some Raspberry Lemonade.  The cute waitress made her and Calli the crowns.
The celebration didn't end at Rio Tinto.  On Mon the seniors got to be on the sports radio show.
Jadyn telling what it was like when she saw the ball right by the goal and having already bounced off the goal posts twice, knowing she had to get that ball out, turning around see it, and kicking it as hard as she could up the field to one of her teammates.
On Thurs  they got to ride in a mini parade.

Our last hoorah (was of couse on Jorrin's b-day) they had the soccer end of the year banquet.
The team doing their last toast.

Each senior girl received a Jersey with pictures of the seniors.

They were also presented with a huge banner that will be hung on the football/Soccer stadium, next to the football state signs.

Coach Kunde was given the ball they played with in the state game and he wanted all the girls to sign it so he can always remember this team.  He also spoke about how special this year's team was not only that they were amazing soccer players but amazing girls and he has learned so much from them and will miss them so much.

These last four years of soccer have been amazing for Jadyn and this was the icing on the cake for her and us.  Congratulations to our STATE Soccer champ.
