Spring break and Spring sports

We started our spring break the weekend we went up to the baby blessing and temple so that was out big spring break activity.  The rest of the week we just enjoyed doing small activites around town.  Jantzyn had been wanting to go look at the new Harmons store in Santa Clara so we took her and sophie and let them pick out on treat from their awesome snack bars.  They picked a Giletto.  We also spent some of the nights watching Duncan's pre season baseball games.  And we took the girls to see Zootopia and everyone loved it!!! We did enough to keep everyone busy but also had time to relax and just enjoy being off of school.

Jaicelyn's soccer coach highly suggested that the girls on the soccer team should run track.  So jaice being the obedient girl she is (we also highly suggested it) signed up and started going to the practices.  The coaches quickly found put how fast she is and insisted on her going to the varsity track meets.  She has qualified for the BYU track meet inthe 100 and 200 and was hoping the relay team would also qualify but everyone is injured so it looks like she will be doing just those 2 events.  It has been fun watching her develop a new talent she didn't even know she had.

Jaice also got a job as a referee for the kicks soccer program and had her first time refereeing.  She said she was nervous but it was a lot of fun and was only yelled at once by a parent for calling off sides.

Jantz was so excited about their face paint.  Too bad that after the game it was all over her uniform as well as her face.

Watching soccer in a rain storm.

Temple and Baby blessing

On the first weekend in March Austin and Marianne did Graham's baby blessing so we decided since it was the last week of the Provo temple open house we would try to get both in.  We headed up Saturday morning and went straight to the temple.  We didn't have tickets and thought it would be a long stand by wait.  But, we got right in and out.  It was so pretty! There was so much beautiful wood flooring, door ways, and stair case railings.  They also had different paitings and a different style than any other temple I have been in.  The stain glass windows were also my favorite.

After the temple we stopped and ate at subway and then headed to the hotel to let the girls swim with Jenna and Ruby.  The older kids and Terry went to Cabella's and then we met back up with Austin's family at JCW's for dinner.

The next morning we got up to a crazy rainy day and headed to Graham's blessing.  Austin did a great job.  We then went and visited with everyone for a while.
Three generation's of Cowley men.  Pretty Cool!!!

The girls love my girls and vice versa.
After we headed to Stacy and Ben's and visited with them for a couple of hours.  We had heard that it was supposed to be pretty rainy on the way home but when we hit a full blown snow storm from Provo all the way to Cedar it was more than we had planned.  We went 40 miles an hour most of the way home and even 20 some of the time.  It was so bad you couldn't see in front of you and there were probably about 20 cars off the road.  I think that is probably the worst storm I have ever driven through.  Jadyn and Jake were behind us and I think I called her every 1/2 hour making sure they were ok too.  I was so glad when everyone made it home safely.

February the month of Love

This months burlap banner!

Terry turned 47 and we went to Crave to celebrate!!!

Jaicelyn's good friend Aizy turned 15 and Jaice decorated her room for her!

We had soccer tournaments all weekend long.  This time Teegan was also in a trouney and they came down.  Between the two of them my poor parents went to 8 games.

Jantz having fun during one of the games.

The girls again won every game but the championship game.

We also celebrated our love for each other...Valentines day is always fun for me.  I love to write each of my kids and Terry a little love note and give them each some candy and a little present to let them know how much they mean to me.
