Jor also had a fun weekend staying at her friends cabin in Panguitch and going to the hot air balloon festival. They hiked and then headed home for a BBQ and fireworks. (Jaice also had fun with friends but didn't get any pictures).

Jaicelyn's 17th Birthday
Jaices summer b-days are always pretty low key. She had her first day of work at her summer job that day. She worked until 3:00 then came home and opened her gifts then Sam and Aizy blindfolded her and took her to dinner and a movie. This year My mom took her clothes shopping for her birthday and she got some really cute new things for school. She also got, Alex and Ani bracelet, perfume, Clothes over bros shirt she had been wanting forever, sunglasses, more clothes, nail polish, and a certificate to get her eye brows waxed and colored.

Idaho Falls Dean Cook Shootout soccer tournament
Jantzyn's soccer tournament was from thurs June 15-17 in Idaho Falls. Originally we were going to just send her up with the team but then when Ashlyn's Fairwell, Jaicelyn's soccer camp was the same time, and the fact the Teegan was going to be there too, we decided to make a little family vacation out of it. We were hoping their first game on Fri would be a little later so we could stay at Austin and Mariannes house on Thur and then head the rest of the way on Fri. But of course, as things go for us they switched the original time from 1:00 to 9:00 so we had to act fast and figure out somewhere to stay in Idaho falls on Thurs. Whitney was staying at an airbnb with her friend and so we started looking at those. Terry found one that looked pretty decent that said Downtown studio apt. We decided we would cancel our hotel for Fri and just stay at the airbnb apt for both nights (we should know by now when we try to save money it never goes the way we want).
We headed up at 1:00 on Thursday to make it to BYU to pick up one of Jantzyn's teammates that was at their camp and needed a ride to Idaho. We made it just in time to get her and then meet Austin, Marianne, the girls (and Graham), and Jaice at JCW's to eat quickly, try to get a little visiting in, and then were on our way to Idaho Falls. We dropped Jantzyn's teammate off at her hotel and headed to ours. As soon as we got to the "Old" downtown area we started to get worried, but when we came to our final destination we thought this might be our "Final Destination" in life..haha. The girls were not happy with what or where we were. Jantzyn and I headed up the deck (with a flashing eery strobe light) to meet the lady that owned the apt. She took us in down a very old hall way. She told us "to the right was where a ghost lives, but not to worry he never comes on this side" That was a little alarming, even more alarming was looking out our windows and seeing all the old buildings and people walking around the area. Terry and I just looked at each other and tried to get the girls settled in. Needless to say either one of us slept that night. We could hear every little thing going on up stairs and heard people outside all night. At one point Terry wondered what the flashing lights outside were so I looked and there were several police cars across the street. I also noticed on a table a picture frame of the old building describing that is used to be a brothel up until the 70's (that made more sense why there was a ghost hanging around still). During the night we tried to decide if we could stay there one more night or if we should just eat the money and try to find a hotel. But once we got up, got ready, and headed out in the daylight (and the truck was still there), we decided we could brave it one more night.
Jantzyn's team was excited to be at the tournament and played hard each game. The first game they won 6-0. Jantzyn scored to goals and did a cool move (those were her two goals for the tournament). We had a couple hours in between the games to Jantzyn went with her team and Terry, Jaice and I went and watched Teegans game then met the team at Rhumbi Grill to eat lunch. The team went to watch Cars III and we headed back to our brothel to take a little nap. They played their 2nd game at 5:00 and ended up winning that game 3-2. That night they also had a fun team against team shootout. The teams goalie would be in the net and the other team would had 5 balls that the girls would put on a mark and have five minutes to try to score on the goalie. If the goalie caught the ball or it went over or on the sides of the net the team would lose that ball and would have to continue with what they had left. Jantzyn's team ended up in the finals and lost 8-6. They loved it though and we had fun cheering for our goalies (who both did awesome) and each other. We then went to dinner at Noodles and Co. and headed back to see if we could sleep any better than the first night. After Terry decided to bring in the $800 canopy we borrowed from the club, and put the noisy fan on all night, he slept just fine. I still didn't sleep that good and I looked out the window again about 1:30 to see three police cars and them putting a women in cuffs in the back seat of one of them and other policeman talking to other people. We figured out there was a bar down the street.
Saturday we were in the semi final game against a good Logan team. It was a hard fought game but Jantzyn ended up having the game winning assist and won the game 2-1. In between Jantzyn went with the team to lunch and we ran and grabbed sandwiches and watched Teegan win their semi final game 1-0. We met back up with the team at 3:00 to watch them in the Final. This team was from Montana and earlier the Logan team's coach had come up and said that this team was very physical and that one of the girls on their team would flop in the box and that is how they scored both of the goals on the Logan team. A little while later the Montana coach came up and told our coach they were glad they were playing us because the Logan team was too aggressive for them. Haha we were a little nervous wondering what our girls had gotten themselves in to. But we had the ball on their half most of the game. The girls they told us about did flop in the box but the ref didn't call anything for her. We ended up playing a very long hard game but won 2-1. Both goals came from penalties on their team. One was a hand in the box and the other a girls jumped on one of our girls backs in the box. The girls were so excited. This is the first out of town tournament they have won. We were so happy for them. We headed to the main tent and the girls received their medals. Terry and I were very impressed with the way the tournament went. They were very organized and the parents and the girls enjoyed it. We knew it would be a long ride home for them so we hurried and headed home. We followed the team to Farmington where we picked up Jantzyn and headed to Cedar Hills to try to make it to Tyson Maags open house. We made it just as everyone was getting ready to clean up. They insisted we eat and visit for a minute and then we headed to Austin's for the night.
The next morning we slept in a little and then got up and headed to Ashlyn's fairwell. She gave an amazing talk and Austin sang an awesome song. We headed back to Kevin and Jens to eat and visit and then headed back up to Austin's we visited with them a while and headed to bed around 10:00. The next morning Austin made us yummy pancakes and we headed to the mall to shop for a couple of hours before heading home to the heat. We had a fun mini vacation and would like to go back next year again. Next time we will stay in a hotel though...haha. The brothel was hopefully a once in a lifetime thing.
Terry going to get the team checked in. I love the parents on this team they are all so helpful and offer to help Terry any way they can. This is one of the dad's helping him set up the canapy.

warming up for game 3
Terry missed most of two games running our injured girls to the medic tent. One girl got a black eye the other hyper extended her knee.
during half time Jaice and Teegan played a game of their own.
Cute cousins!!
Montana always piggy backs the girls off when they get hurt. But emma is as big as Montana so I had to get a picture to prove that she has no favorites...haha
In between the games we went to see the falls of Idaho Falls and how pretty the temple is next to them.
lined up for the championship game.
