Kannaraville Falls

We wanted to do something over Memorial Day weekend but the way our schedules are now days we knew it would only be a day trip.  Both the older girls had done the Kannaraville Falls hike and loved it.  We made sure jantz could handle it and decided this would be a good time to go before it got to hot.  We arrived around noon and headed out.  We read that they charge you to park by the entrance but everyone parks a an lds church and walks so we decided to do that.  It ended up being probably and 1/2 mile but was still worth saving the money.

jantz and me heading down one of the many dirt road hills on your way into the hike.

When we finally started seeing a trail and trees it made the dirt road hills worth it.

starting into the first of many stream/river crossings.

getting ready to go up the first ladder there was a wait so some kind person asked if we wanted him to take our picture.

the girls excited and a little nervous to climb up the ladder

After the first ladder we stop and ate our yummy PB and J sandwiches (sometimes when your hungry enough even the simplest things taste the best).  We also had apples and cream cheese apple dip and pringles.

There were a couple of parts that got a little deep.  Luckily Jaice went first on this part, if Jantz would have it might have been up to her shoulders.

Terry making it to the top of the second ladder (if you can call it that).  It had most of the rungs broken so you were mostly rock climbing with the rope.

Jaice decided to try it too.

There were also rock slides to try

and we even saw Jantzyn's best friend Sophie and her family hiking too.

After the water slide Jantz got a little cold and decided to get warmed up by cooking herself on a rock.

I think we would all agree that this was a fun hike and would definitely go again.  Next time hopefully the older two can come with us.
