Cabin in the Winter

It was a new and beautiful sight for our first trip to the cabin in the winter.  We went January 29-31 and I everyone was a little nervous and excited as of what to expect.  My kids have never been skiing or snowboarding and it has eve been a while since we sledded or played in the snow.  

While we were waiting for the rest of the family to get there Jantzyn went right out and enjoyed playing in the snow and building a snowman to welcome everyone.

 
I love this picture of Terry enjoying being away from the busyness of everyday life and just enjoying the weather.

We had gorgeous sunsets each night we were there.

even at night while everyone else was inside the kids enjoyed playing in the snow.

They also enjoyed each other's company keeping warm and just hanging out.

Saturday was our day for the snowboarding/skiing adventure.  These three pro's were ready to go with their own gear and everything.

These three were still deciding if they would try it and made their own fun until they finally decided they would.

after a couple of tries on the learning hill.  They were ready to go and they loved it!!! 

Jantzyn's first time up the mountain.  When they were trying to get off they lift they all got tangled and Jantzyn bruised her tailbone but that didn't stop her from going down as many more times as she could.

Jaice's first time coming down and she looked pretty good.  Jake helped her and said he was proud of her after every time she fell she would get right back up and try again.

The couple of us that didn't ski (Gma, Gpa, Stacy, Terry, and me) took pictures and videos.

 

After a long day on the slopes we came back to the cabin and had a yummy dinner and homemade cobbler and of course hot chocolate.  Everyone was so exhausted that everyone went to bed pretty early (for Losee standards) that night.

We woke up to this...everyone took a while but all the cars made it out and down the hill slowly to their homes.

....until the summer cabin.

I think the cabin in the winter was a success!!!
