The 50th is a huge accomplishment and so us kids had been wanting to do something for my mom and dad. We had thought about doing a more formal open house and having all their old friends come and say hi. But the more we talked about it and tried to figure out when we could do it the harder it got. Also my mom saying they didn't want one kind of finalized our decision to just do something with all of us kids and our families. Corbin was not going to be able to come home this summer but their plans changed and they were going to be in Salt Lake the first weekend in July. So Austin and Marianne graciously volunteered to have everyone at their house to be together, have a bbq and some fun games for a couple of days. It was fun being together! I sure love my siblings and their families and appreciate them so much especially when we can't be together very often. We had yummy food (all my moms baked goods that everyone loves), played some fun games at the house, and then went to Austin's neighborhood park to play in the bubble balls. Most everyone tried them and the kids both young and old (men) had so much fun! Hopefully we will be able to get together again next year and do it again!!
