Spring Break 2019

We started out spring break with Terry and Jantz getting a haircut.  We love that Jaice can do this for all of us now!

 Then on Thursday we took the girls snowboarding at Brianhead.  Jantzyn has been bitten by the snowboarding bug and was so excited to go.  Jaice likes it but only for a couple of hours.  So it worked out perfectly to go for a day.  They end at 4:00.  The weather was perfect it had snowed the whole day before so there was lots of fresh powder.  It was sunny and just right during the time the girls snowboarded and started to snow just as we were leaving.

Then the rest of the weekend we spent in Las Vegas.  Jantzyn had been asked to guest play on a team from Hawaii.  We drove down friday for her game.  Which they tied.  She was a little timid at first not knowing the girls or the style they played together but her competitiveness always takes over and she played really well the 2nd half.  They played a 2nd game and won and Jantz even scored a goal for them.  After the 2 games we headed home so Jaice could come down with us Sat and Sunday.  On the way down Saturday Jaice kept saying she felt like she wasn't feeling that good.  So we gave her some ibuprofen and watched Jantzyn play really awesome in her game.  She scored 2 goals in that game and the team won again!  After the game the girls invited her to go back to the condo's they were staying at so of course we let her.  We headed to do a little shopping, picked Jantzyn up and then went to dinner with Brandon and Tracy at Cheesecake factory!  By the end of the night Jaice felt the full blown sickness affects.  She had a fever and was achy all over her body.  She went right to sleep.  Sunday morning Jantzyn had one more game.  She again played really well and was so excited because the Womens National team coach was there watching.  Jantzyn again scored a goal at this game.  She had so much fun playing with the team and the girls and coaches were all so nice to her.  They even gave her a box of Hawaiian chocolates. It was a really good experience for her and they invited her to play with them again next year.  Jaice was not feeling good all day and ended up sleeping in the car the whole game.  Brandon and Tracy came to watch and we enjoyed visiting with them.  We headed home as soon as the game was over.  By the time we got home Sunday night Jantzyn was also feeling sick.  By Monday night I was sick too.  The girls both ended up missing most of school the next week and I even stayed home from work Wednesday I was so sick.  We usually dont get very sick at our house but this year the crap going around was so bad that we three girls got it twice and Terry once.  The worst part about it was each time it lasted for about a week of feeling just miserable.  Hopefully it's gone for good for us.
