First soccer tournament of the year

Martin Luthur King holiday weekend both girls were in a tournament in Vegas so we decided to make a mini vacation out of it and stayed in Vegas Friday night.   Jantzyn had her game first and they won.  Next was Jaicelyns first game which they ended up tying 2-2.  After their games we went to eat at Cheesecake factory and headed to our hotel.  On Saturday the girls both had 2 games each.  Jantz won both their games and Jaice lost both of theirs.  Because Jantzyn won we headed back down on Monday for the Championship game.  Jaice wanted to come down and brought her friend Carson to help cheer Jantz on.  The girls ended up coming in 2nd in a 2-1 (Jantz scored the goal) loss but we were so proud of the girls and because they made it so far in that tournament.  Their teams ranking went from 24 in Utah to 8th in Utah.  We headed to yogurtland that was close to the field to celebrate and then headed home!  It was a fun weekend doing what we love!

tuff game faces

The way they really feel about each other.

Terry so happy to be there!

warming up for their first game
My cute little captain doing her duty!!

She hates being the pest but has learned it pays off by getting goals.

 Such an awesome supporter!!

Jaice warming up for her 2nd game!

she played really well but the team was a harder 5A school and they lost.
Eating our yummy dinner.  The girls were so tired they were both falling asleep at the table

 Heading down on Monday.

doing their heat cheer and getting ready to play.

So proud of these girls!! These girls (and the parents) have become a family.  I remember my mom being good friends and loving the parents they sat on the sidelines with.  We have experienced that with the parents on this team, they are the best!! So supportive of the girls and each other.  We feel like we have gotten to know the girls and cheer for each as they were our own.  The parents are genuine and want the best for each of them! We've even joked about everyone home schooling our girls so we could keep them together during high school season.  We would be called the home schoolers and Montana would be their math teacher...  If only.  Any way, we have gotten to know them and love them all! Funny story...  Terry has gotten to be really good friends with one of the dads and one night he had gotten done talking to him on the phone so Jantz asked to see Terry's phone and changed the contact on it to Israel my BFF.  It was so funny and Terry still has it like that on his phone!! HAHA!!  We feel so blessed for Jantzyn to be part of this and that we have gotten to experience this team with her. So much love!!

Junior Prom

Brady Jones asked Jaice to her Junior Prom and they had a very fun time!!  They played paintball for the day date and Jaice was so excited that she only got hit on the foot!! She was worried she would have welts for the dance.  They went for pictures down town (she accidentally deleted all the group pictures) and then went to dinner at one of the boys houses.  After they went hot tubbing.
My girl looking beautiful as always!!

Even with that face..haha

she's getting better and better and putting on the boutineer.
so cute!!

Life (other than soccer)

In between our soccer life, believe it or not we do have other things going on.

Jaice took her good friend Maysen Fielding to preference.  They went tubing in Brian Head for the day date and then went for pictures and dinner.  After the dance they went and watched a movie.  She always has fun with Maysen and this dance was no different.  She went with a group of girls she didn't really know but ended up getting to know and even though she was nervous had a very fun time (that's why she knew Maysen would be the best choice for this dance).

Her friend Ashlyn (the one friend she knew before the dance).

The sunday after the dance (always a hard one to get through) haha!!

Team sleep over

The team had wanted to do a "bonding" sleep over together for a while and it all finally came together in February.  One of the parents had a cabin on the back side of zion in Ponderosa.  I was able to go so I volunteered to drive the girls up and stay over night with a couple other moms.  We decided instead of having to pay the fee to go through zion we would go the kanab way and so our little adventure began.  It was right before valentines and it was so fun listening to these girls talk about boys and how they got asked to be valentines.  It was especially fun to hear Jantzyn join in.  Although she did say they had no cute boys in her school...haha.  She did tell them she thought Chris Pratt was cute though.  I laughed the whole way to the cabin listening to them.  We arrived around 6:30 and the girls set up there sleeping area's,  one of the moms had gotten there early and made homemade cafe rio for the girls.  It was yummy!!!  Another fun part of this sleep over was usually these girls only eat healthy, and each one of them got to bring a treat to share with the other's.  It was hilarious watching them get to eat treats and seeing how the sugar affects them.  After dinner the girls played sardines in and around the cabin, while us moms and Montana just sat and visited.  Before we knew it, it was 1:00 am and we decided to get to bed.  I had taken the room downstairs and figured I would be far away from all the girls up two floors but little did I know this was there "story telling" area.  I think I finally got to sleep around 2:30 when they decided to head to bed.  And I was woken up at 8:00 from them laughing in the kitchen area.  Oh well, I knew going in I wouldn't do much sleeping.  Me and another mom made french toast, homemade buttermilk syrup (that tasted like Kneaders), and fresh fruit, it was also very yummy!  The girls spent the rest of the morning playing signs and then went on a quick hike to see the buffalo before we headed home at 1:00.  It again was non stop laughing trip home.  We went a different way with lots of rolling hills on the road and very cool red sand dunes.  I enjoyed being able to go with them.  And it was fun to see these girls hang out together off the field and see how close they really are.  I am so glad Jantzyn has been on this team and made life long friends from all over town.

Eating dinner!

playing signs for at least 3 hours.

They always have to do a silly one..haha

the girls each doing their sign.
