Jadyn's Birthday Day

The night before her birthday she was stressing about what she would wear the next day. So while she was in the shower Jorrin cleaned her room and I layed out the new outfit we had gotten her. She was happy with it. Yea!

This is what she woke up to in the morning. Jorrin left little notes all around the house.

Jantzyn gave her a soccer necklace with the #16 on it.
Terry and I gave her her phone.
Jaicelyn got up early and made her a cute card and poem and gave her a new book.
Jorrin gave her the only other thing she asked for...spray on sunscreen that doesn't smell.

Jadyn's cupcakes.

Blowing out the candles. After we took Jadyn to do Baptism for the Dead (which they turned us away they were packed so we will have to try again later). And then took her to dinner at Olive Garden. I think she had a good day!

HAPPY 15th B-DAY JADYN!

Today Jadyn turns 15! She has done a lot in her 15 years. We are so proud of her and love her so much here are some of the reason why:
She is beautiful inside and out.
She makes us laugh (alot).
She is so fun to watch play sports especially soccer.
She knows she is a daughter of God and stands up for what she believes.
She is a good example to her friends and family (inc. her dad and me).
She is good at driving the car around the church (she wants to drive sooo bad).
She is a girly/tomboy.
She stresses everynight about what she is going to wear the next day.
She takes life seriously... but not too seriously.
She entertains herself and the rest of us on Sundays (Sundays are never boring at our house).
She is wise with her money.
She does a mean preminition face. (Next time you see her, ask her to show you).
She shares her clothes with Jorrin (sometimes even without being asked).
She is fun to watch eat.
She chose our family to spend the these fifteen years and the rest of eternity with.
We love you so much Jay! Happy Birthday!

Jadyn's first track meet

This year Jadyn had a hard decission to make, try out for softball or run track. After weighing all the good and bad of each sport she finally decided to try track for the first time ever. Fri. was her first track meet. She ran the 100 and 200 meter, did the 400 relay, and on a whim ran the 400 leg of the medally relay (if your like me and dont know what that means, they have 2 girls run a 200 meter 1 run a 400 meter and 1 run a 800 meter).
She did so awesome for her first time. In the 100 meter she placed 9th out of 37 girls. The 200 meter she placed 16th out of about the same. Her relay team took 2nd place, and the medally relay finished 3rd (Jadyns coach said that she ran her 400 leg so fast that if she would have perticipated in the 400 event she would have made it into the finals for her time).
Best of all she loved every minute of being there and can't wait for the next one. It was also fun for me and my Dad (who is such a wonderful support to my girls) to watch her and her friends compete.

Ready.......

Short but Sweet Spring Break

Last year our ward started a tradition to do a trip for any girls that have recieved their Young Women Regonition award like they do for the Scouts that recieve their eagle. Jadyn went last year and Jorrin saw how much fun she had so she worked really hard and recieved hers in Oct. and has been waiting for this trip ever since. During spring break they finally went to Disneyland. There were five girls and 3 leaders that went and had a really fun time together.
Jorrin and the other girls on splash mountain.

Jorrin and her best friend Jamie with their "bug eyes" waiting to see the Bug's Life show.

Whitney's boys came to stay overnight with us and had a great time. About 15 minutes after they got here I couldn't hear any noise so I looked out my window to see where they were. This is what I saw 4 little specks on the mountain. THey didn't waste anytime.

They played for about an hour on the mountain and then decided to come back.

We went over to the new park by Coral Cliffs Elementary for a little while.
Jantzyn and Bryton on the teeter-totter.

All the kids spinning on the wheel. Shortly after this we left everyone's tummies hurt. Too much spinning.

Jaicelyn probably had the funnest spring break of all. She got to get 2 cavities filled. She had been dreading it all week.

She tried to smile but as you can see she is still scared.

After she was all done and was so brave. I took her to target to pick out a prize. After about 1/2 hour of trying to choose between a barbie or nails she finally decided on the nails. She also realized that shots weren't as bad as she thought they would be.

Jadyn was my helper all week. She watched the kids for me while I had to work and in between helping she spent every minute she could with her friends. She had a couple sleep overs, read a book, and just relaxed.

My favorite part of spring break was FREE FRAZZLE FRIDAY! I love those things!!! And so do my girls.

Taking a sunday drive.

Game night over at my sister-in-laws. Jaice, Sadie, and Kassy doing some mean Kareokee.

Playing games, with treats...we were supposed to bring what we had around the house so we brought our last 6 snikerdoodles (Jorrin made them for the first time) and 2 bags of popcorn. My brother-in-law made fun of us. But they were a big hit. We also had Stacy's yummy brownies and a relish tray that went fast.

The little kids had their own version of game night. They would get a game out play it for a minute and move on to another game. Dominoes was first of about 3 games they decided to start.

Spring break seems like it went so fast this year. I enjoy having my kids at home and a break from the busyness of everyday life. I think for the first time in a long time they were ready to go back to school before I was ready to have them gone. Wierd how life seems to have different priorities the older you get.

It really is the "Happiest Place On Earth"!!

We had sooo much fun at Disneyland with all of the family. Everyone else went to Disneyland on Tues. and did their own family stuff. So we tried to stay together on Wed. Thur. & Fri., going on rides together or mixing things up with whoever wanted to go on rides going with whoever was going on that ride. I think the kids ended up with each of the other families at one point or another which was a lot of fun. Our first ride on Tues was Pirates of the Caribean. I was so excited to go on this ride. It seems like the last couple of times we have gone it has been closed. We all went together as a party of 27.

I am so happy about finally getting on Pirates!

Then we headed over to Haunted Mansion and Splash Mountain. This year Terry told the girls they each had to try a ride that scared them. For Jorrin it was Splash Mountain and California Screamer. She went on both and ended up loving them. I think she went on screamer at least 11 times.

Jor checking out Splash Mountain before we got on deciding if she would try it or not.

The last time she rode screaming she and Terry sat at the very front. She loved it!

For Jadyn it was the Fun Wheel car that slides and swings, and the Maliboomer. She did both but still wasn't crazy about them after. Her 2 favorites rides where Screamer and Tower of Terror. Which also turned out to be my favorite.

Jadyn looks a little nervous before going up on the fun wheel.

Grandma and Grandpa on the car below them.

I was so prould of Jaicelyn and Jantzyn. Jantzyn tried everything she was tall enough to go on. She wanted to go on Grizzly River sooo bad. We tried 3 different times with 3 different cast memebers to get her on even with her poncho she was too short. Oh well it just means we will have to go back in a year or two.

Jantzyn favorite rides were Jumping Jelly Fish, Small World, The Tea Cups, and Dumbo.

Jaicelyn also tried new rides this time. She found out she loved some of them and others she thought once was enough. She loved Grizzly River (even though she cried the whole 1st time she rode it) and went on it 3 or 4 times. She also loved Mullholand Madness, Matterhorn, and The Rockets. She wasn't so sure about Indiana Jones, and Thunder Mt. Railroad. She is still trying to decide if she likes Splash Mt. The second she decided to try it they broke down at the bottom of the big hill. She lucked out.

On Thurs. everyone wore their Disney t-Shirts they got for Christmas.

All the grandkids.

The whole family.

Probably the only time it wasn't "The Happiest Place on Earth" was right before our family picture. It's a good thing it was captured forever in this picture. Can you tell who it was that was not getting along?

Also on Thur. Grandpa bought everyone dinner at Tony Roma's. It was yummy and soo fun.

Fri was our last day together as a whole family. Small World opened this day and it is Grandma's favorite ride so we all headed there to ride together. It was fun looking at all the new Disney character's they added on think on the 3rd time around we counted 28 or 29.

Then everyone I think tried to let the day last as long as possible. Disneyland stayed open until midnight that night and we tried to make it that long. I think we finally left around 11:40 with Jantzyn already asleep in the stroller but on our way out we passed Tyson and Tavin just getting started shopping. I think Stacy said they came back to the hotel around 12:45.

Saturday we were on our own. Jaice and Jantz's Disney Dollars were burning a whole in their pockets so while Terry took the older girls on Indiana Jones, I took the two little ones to shop. Once they had their loot they were good with anything we decided to do.

Jaice had been wanting cotton candy since the first day she was so happy when she finally got some that she even shared it with everyone.

Jaice chose to get Baby Dumbo, Baby Pegasus, and a giant sucker with her money.

Jantzyn chose a Baby Bambi, a blue Heffalump bee, a Jazmine polly pocket, and a medium sucker with hers.

On saturday night we were ready to relax a little so we decided to watch the Celebration parade.

The girls got to shake different characters hands.

Jaice got to beat a drum for one of the songs.

After the parade the two little girls were ready to go so Grandpa and Grandma took them back to the hotel and Terry, the two older girls, and I stayed to shop and go on a couple last rides.

Our last ride was the last train of the night to go around Disneyland. A good way to say goodbye.

Waiting for the last train. Do we look a little tired?

On Sun. we went to see the New Port Temple and let Jantzyn play at the beach for a minute for the first time before we fianlly had to say goodbye and come home.

Here are some fun pictures of our vacation to Disneyland.

We're ready to go back!
