Memorial Day at the Lake

Terry had been wanting to take the girls to Gunlock Resevior for a while and we were actually both off on Memorial day so we decided that would be the day. Terry was able to get a really good kayak rental from the college so we hefted it on the van and headed off for our day o fun.

The water was really to cold to swim but the we found a perfect spot for them to wade and for the kiak to take off and land on.

Jantzyn makeing good use of the floation device that was too small to float on.

Terry ran in to the dollar store on our way to get some floaties. They looked a lot bigger in the packaging.

But our money did not go to waste they were used throughout the rest of the day for a various many things such as: Looking glass, seat cushions, sleds to go down our stair at home, and even a game they made up with them.

This was the first time I turned around to see how big they really were Tavin was standing there asking me "Uh, are these supposed to hold us up while we float?" I laughed so hard.

Terry and Jorrin on the kayak.

Jantzyn wasn't too fond of the idea at first but once she got in and going she had fun.

There were so many waterfalls coming off the dam. The lake was pretty much dead but there were tons of people at the falls so we went to check them out too. People were using this one as a waterslide but you had to slide over to the side and hurry and get off before it went over the fall.

Jadyn and Tavin leaving for their hour long adventure. Terry finally went to look for them after they disappered around a cove. They said they got stuck on some mossy plants, so they just sat there and watched a duck disapear under the plants.

Jaicelyn's turn on the kiak.

Tavin and Jorrin looking down from the 40 ft cliff that people were jumping off of.

Our first view of the falls.

Jantzyn and Jaicelyn on their mini hike around the falls.

Jadyn getting ready to head over to cliff jump into a waterfall.

After we got home we had a good old fashion BBQ. Hamburgers, corn on the cob, chips, watermelon, and icecream with fresh strawberries on top for dessert.

Everyone was so happy to celebrate Memorial Day.

Jadyn and Taving playing the game they made up with the air tubes. Jaice and Jantz would throw them up to the balcony and Jadyn and Tavin would throw them back down trying to get them to land on the heads. Then they switched and Jadyn and Tavin would try to catch them on the heads. Hours of entertainment!

This is the 80 ft cliff Jadyn wanted to jump off of but Terry wouldn't let her.

This is the cliff Terry finally let her jump off of.

Happy 7th B-Day to my Princess Jantzyn

My Princess Jantzyn!

I know it's only a week and 1/2 late but she knows we love her anyway. This year Jantzyn was so excited for her b-day she was going to take donuts for her class to eat, had told me exactly what she wanted for her present, was excited to go to her favorite restuarant that she picked on her own (McDonald's), and was all ready for her Tangled b-day party. The only thing in her way was she woke up with a fever and very bad sore throat. So she slept the day away and we celebrated her b-day saturday with her party and dinner at McDonalds with her cousin Trasen, and she took her donuts on Mon. to school.

She did feel good enough on her b-day to at least open her presents.

In the summer she lives in her swimsuits even if she knows she isn't swimming that day.

She picked this game out all by herself.

Even though she was sick I think she ended up having a better birthday that lasted 3 days instead of only 1.

I love you my baby!!!

Jantzyn's Tangled 7th b-day

........My Princess Jantzyn

On Sat May 21st Jantzyn had her tangled B-day party we invited 16 little girls to dress up and play princess for a couple of hours.

This was supposed to look like Rapunzel's hair.

And this was supposed to look like Rapunzel's Tower. (oh well its the thought that counts right).

All of her guests.

Painting their masterpieces like Rapunzel.

They turned out beautiful.

Jorrin painting their nails and braiding their hair.

Some of the girls wanted to paint their own nails.

Playing red and green Chameleon.

Everyone got there at the same time. We also played "Mother Gosel May I"

And hit Flynn Rider on the head with a frying pan.

Jantzyn opening her gifts. The girls all loved this part.

Watching her balloons that got away float up up and away.
She had a very fun time at her 7th B-day.

Jaicelyn's 4th Grade Program

This morning was Jaicleyn's 4th Grade Progam on UTAH. Yesterday at school she and her friend decided to switch places, Jaicelyn would give a speaking part and her friend would square dance. She did really well especially for memorizing the part in one night.

Singing about Utah. Yee Haw!!!

Jadyn Region Track

Even though Jadyn has been a little frustrated with this years track season (there were very few people doing it this year, and it was very disorganized), she has done very well again. She won 2nd in region in the 100m and 200m , and won 1st in the 4x100 relay and 2nd in the 1600 medaly relay. Which qualified her for state in all 4. The Snow Canyon Girls also took region as a team.

Jadyn and Arianna (who finished 1st in both the 100 and 200). walking back to get marked after finishing the 100 m.

Jadyn and Arianna with their 100 m medals.

Jadyn with all her medals.

Jaicelyn Softball

Jaicelyn has played her 2nd Snow Canyon little league year and has again loved it. She continues to improve and figure things out a little more every time she plays. She has had some pretty good hits and has loved playing catcher when she gets a chance. She also likes playing first base.

Jaice and her teammates, Ashley and Emily.

Jantzyn's 1st grade walking field trip

Today (May 10th) I was able to go on one of Jantzyn's field trips. We walked to the park where we went to different stations. The first station we listened to a book about rocks and sorted the rock collection that each child brought from home.

Walking to our first station

Posing while we waited

the second station the kids painted, glued eyes, and hair to make pet rocks. They also got to listen to another story about how fun pet rocks can be.

Third we took a hike (walk) over to the pond to see frogs, jumping fish, duck and ducklings.

Heading to our next station. Jantzyn was so excited to be the leader.

Our fourth station they got to dig for dinosaur bones with their own set of tools.

Their classes last station was the playground. They got otter pops and played until they were all ready to head back to school.

My cute little Jantzyn being the monkey she is.

I am so glad I was able to go with her today we had so much fun together. It seems like with the older two i went on every field trip, but with our busy lives now I don't get to go to the younger girls as much, so i am so excited for the times i do get to go. I know i will always remember this day and I hope she does too!
