The Last Delta Renioun

Last year at the reunion everyone new this would be the last (and that was only because Terry's Aunt and Uncle Dean and Karen and his mom and dad got put in charge of it).  The girls had been counting down the days to our last Delta trip.  They were all so excited yet so sad at the same time.  We tried hard to enjoy all of the traditions they have made one last time for the 2 days we were there.  This time just didn't seem the same though.  We went to the park but there wasn't a lot of family there.  It was mostly The Glen Losee family.  We went to the hardpan but earlier than usual (the kids usually get to swim before we go) so more family could join us.  We came back early from the hardpan and the kids took advantage to swim as long as they could one last time in our Delta Hotel.  On Sunday we went to Grandpas but it was empty and so it was hard to enjoy the memories.  We visited the cemetery and said our goodbyes to Grandpa and Grandma and the rest of the family probably for the last time in Delta.  I have been coming with Terry since before we were married.  It's the only Labor day weekend trip i remember.   I wonder what we will do next year on Labor Day weekend to start new traditions.  Hopefully my kids will remember Delta each year when we celebrate Labor Day.  Below are some pictures of traditions new and old we have from our Last Delta Reunion.

Fall is in full swing

It's the most wonderful time of the year...no not Christmas..Fall.  We love soccer games and football games and hopefully the cooler weather.  This is Jor's first football performance.  The got new uniforms and i love the color and the headbands that go with them.  Oh, and their dance looked really good too (here's a small snipit you can see for yourselves).

Coach Losee

At the end of last year coach Kunde asked Jadyn if she would like to help coach the girls soccer team this year. She knew she would be a little overwhelmed with school and having never coached before but i think she is really enjoying it so far.  This is the first home game she coached at.  She looks like a natural.

The first day of School 2013

August 14, 2013

Jantzyn my 4th grader
She was able to pick her teacher this year, Mr. Griffiths.  She doesn't have very many girls in her class but i don't think the fourth grade as a whole has very many girls.  She does love her teacher and I hope she will have a wonderful year.

Jaicelyn my 7th grader
She also went early they had to switch her whole schedule around for her science class and she was not as happy as Jor.  She doesn't have any friends in any classes.  Luckily Jaice is a talker and I think she will make lots of new friends.   She did like her teachers so I think it will still be a good year for her.

Jorrin my Junior.
She went early to change classes and ended up staying in the same ones.  She said she thinks it will be a fun year and has a lot of fun people in all  her classes.  Lets just hope she makes it through her English class after reading the 5 page syllable I am a little worried

Jadyn my College Freshman
She enjoyed not having to get up and go to school like the other girls.  Her first day is not until Mon August 19th.

Finishing off Summer

I think this has been one of the fastest summers I can remember.  It some ways I am glad it's over and some ways I wish it wouldn't end.  I hate when i am working and my kids are home all day but I love when we don't have schedules and we get to take mini vacations.
One of our last summer mini vacations was a trip to Veyo with the cousin's.  My kids are all about traditions and this is one of their favorites.

Jadyn and Jake drove Jor's car to veyo and as soon as we got back Jake said Jor needs new rooter's, and that he would fix it for us if we bought the parts.  We had known that the brakes weren't good so we couldn't pass it up.  Jake came over on Sat night to fix it and he taught Jadyn a few things about fixing brakes.  She loved watching and helping and getting dirty.

while Jadyn and Jake worked Jorrin watched on her "temporary vehicle"

The sunday before school starts we have our annual fashion show.  Terry always hopes they will forget but they never do.  This year Jor was the one that reminded us, but when it came time to do the show she was too lazy to change so she just laid our her outfits on her turns.  The other two however loved being on the runway.
