The life of a Drill Team family

The reason I would be too busy to get a tree after thanksgiving.  The month of December we are in Salt Lake at least 2 of the 4 weekends.  The first was the weekend of Dec 6-8.  It was a knew competition at Davis High.  They did really well and it was a lot of fun and a lot of SNOW.  Not only did it snow in Layton but also in St. George.   It snowed so much that the City Shut down.  They had to have snowplows from Cedar come down and plow the streets.  Terry couldn't get up our hill so he had to park at the church and walk home.  I-15 was shut down so the Eshelles stayed one more night in Layton so they didn't have to try to make it home at 2:00 in a blizzard.

What we came out to after being in the school for 12 hours.

What it looked like in St. George while we were watching the competition.

They cancelled church on Sunday.  So while Terry was waiting for us to get home he decided to make us a welcome home gift. Isn't it cute!

The beautiful Sunrise on Monday morning.

Our 2nd Competition was December 13-15 at UVU

Sometime competition's get really long and you do what you need to keep yourself entertained.
The girls did really well at this competition too.

Thanksgiving

I must have been so hungry that i forgot to take pictures.  These are the only ones i have of this year's thanksgiving.  At least they are cute..right?

The tree hunt

I knew this year was going to be crazy busy as soon as thanksgiving hit so we decided we would go Christmas Tree hunting the day before thanksgiving.  We tried a different spot this year than last.  There were a lot of trees but they weren't as full as last year.  It took us a little longer but we still found the perfect tree and had a good time doing it.

This was at the longest point of our hunt.  Jantzyn was cold and done!

Dinner out to celebrate.  We are going to make this part of our tradition every year!

Sunset Express

It's the time of year to listen to Jantzyn sing, sing, sing
Lin's

Jubilee of Trees

Dicken's Festival.
This year Terry and I were able to watch her at all three events and then get to walk around with after.  I was fun to spend time with her.  I can't believe we only have one more year left of this stuff.

Geka-Thon 2013

Jaice was so excited to do the Geka-Thon (triathaon) again.  She was nervous but had set goals to this year...not be the last one out of the pool (check ) they had to swim 400 yards  (that is like swimming a football field 4 times, pass 5 people up on the biking portion (check) it was 3 miles, and finish faster than last year (check) the running portion was 2 miles.  She finished 7 minutes faster than last year her time was 54.49.  She finished 17th out of 40 kids.  She did awesome as we were so proud of her and loved watching her and cheering her on.

Jantzyn's First Competitive Soccer Season

We knew after last year that it was time to put Jantzyn on a competitive team to challenger her.  But we could not find any teams her age to put her on...so Terry got talked into starting one and coaching it.  The first couple games were pretty rough but then the girls started clicking and getting it and playing well together.  By the end of the season they were even scoring goals.  Jantzyn only scored one goal the whole season and it was that last game.  But she learned way more than she had before and also learned about being a good sport.

I still can't believe how tiny she is compaired to everyone her age.  I so love watching her surprise people with how aggressive she is and i loved seeing her in a bombers uniform.

Jaice found a way to entertain herself at the game (selfie).

Terry, the assistant coach dawson, and their little team.

The season ender party.  Everyone had a good time.
I can't wait until next season
