February

I love "gas days".  We get a dicount from shopping at smiths on our gas.  So once a month we take every care we have (4) and make our way to smiths to get gas all at once.  It looks so funny but i love it!!

Jadyn has had to go up north for 6 weeks for her clinical's for her PTA program.  So Jake has been going up every weekend he can.  This was the second weekend.  She sent me this..haha!  She has missed him so much and it has been very hard on her to be away.  She is now down to 1 week.  But hasn't been able to see Jake for the last 3 weeks of the program.  I am excited for her to be home again too.  I miss my baby!!

We had our annually super bowl party at Robyn's and watched a very frustrating game for me.  Apparently everyone else was happy about it.
Jaice has never cared about football before but really got into it this year and watched the whole game.  It was so funny she left for a minute to get something to eat and when she came back they were tied.  She was so confused at what had just happened!!

Danna planned a very fun Valentines/80's formal dinner and dance.  Terry and I had so much fun shopping in DI for our outfits.  The girls all wore my old formals and we threw on Terrys sweater and made cole role (peg) his pants.  It was fun to see how the girls got into it too.

I kept with my valentine tradition of writing a little note to each of my valentines and getting them each something little.  The girls got up in the morning and came out to see their stuff.  Jaice just sat there for a min and headed back in to get ready.  I took jantzyn to the bus stop and when I got back.  I asked Jaice if the jacket was the right color she wanted.  She said "what jacket?".  I guess she didn't see it and thought all she got was the car freshner.. (which she was perfectly happy with)...haha!  I also sent Jadyn and Jakes with him to Salt Lake so they could open their stuff together.  I love that Valentines gives me a chance each year to take a minute and let them know each how much I love them!

That night everyone else had plans so Terry surprised Jantzyn and me and took us to Paula's for dinner (Jantzyn had been wanting to go to Paulas for a while).  It was yummy and we had a fun date night!

Jantzyn had to take drama as a elective this year and when she learned they had to do a play she hurried and volunteered to do the lights ("there was no way she was getting up in front on people").  The class did an awesome job on the play (it was very funny) and she did awesome with the lights.

It rained a lot during February this year.  This is Jantzyn's random shot on our way to her tournament.

During a short break betweeen the rain, Terry and Jantzyn hiked the black hill and called me to come out and take a picture.  you can barely see them on top of the mountain.

Jantzyn's first BonJovi concert February 25th 2017

For Christmas we had wanted to give everyone tickets to Bon
Jovi.  But with Jadyn having to be gone and Jake having a wedding the same weekend, we decided we would just surprise Jantzyn and take her since she has not been to one yet.
On Saturday morning we got up and asked her if she wanted to go look for some new cleats.  She has been trying to earn a new pair from reaching her juggling goal.   When we got in the car Terry said we have tried every place here and haven't found any how about we head down south to see if we can see what they have.  She was excited about that.  And off we headed to Vegas.
Our first stop was the premium outlets.  They had nothing in her size at the Adidas store and only two pairs of kids cleats at the Nike outlet.  So we ran in to the Disney store outlet and she found a couple Tsum Tsums to add to her collection and then headed to the fashion place mall to Dicks to see what they had.  They had 3 pairs she really liked and after a long decision making process (sending pictures to all the girls to get their opinion) she finally decided on the ones she wanted!
We then headed to the Silverton Casino to look at their aquarium with live mermaids.  Jantzyn loved it.  She found each of the characters from finding Nemo and espeically loved when the mermaid came and made a heart out of bubble for her.  On the way in to the aquariam they had a whole bunch of taxidermy animals that we took time to look at and then headed back to the strip to M & M world, and then we ate at the food court along the strip.
We headed back to the car for a little rest and then headed over to the T mobile arena to meet Brandon and Tracy and get ready for the concert.  We took some time to people watch and get pictures then headed in to find our seats.  After we found our seats we had a little time to wait.  So Brandon and Tracy took Jantzyn to get a ice cream treat and Terry went to find me some water.  After everyone was treated up we were ready to get started.
As soon as they came out we realized we had an awesome view.  We were basically right on top of them and could see everything going on and even some of the back stage stuff.  It was non stop singing.  In concerts past I remember when they will have someone play an instrument for a minute so they can go change, this time they didn't leave the stage until right before the encore.  I loved that I had listened to the new album enough that i new every song they sang off it and could sing right along with them.  But I think my favorite part of the whole night was when he sang I've got the girl and his daughter came out and danced with him.  The rest of the great show was just a bonus.  It went so fast and even though I could tell Jantzyn was getting tired she hung in the whole show standing and dancing with us.
After it was over we made our way to In-n-Out (a tradition Terry started when he was a teen coming to watch concerts in Vegas).  Everyone was starving so we scarfed down our food, said our goodbyes and headed home.  I was proud of myself for hanging in there and keeping Terry company until we got just out of the gorge.  We got home around 3:00 and went right to bed.  Another Bon Jovi concert to add to our memories.
