Iron Man

This is the 2nd year the Eshelles have volunteered at the iron man.  It lets them do service plus they earn money for doing a station.  Last year they did garbage clean up.  This year they had the first water station.  I didn't get to help last year but i thought this year it would be good for the girls to feel the love of service (plus help Jaice with her yw recognition award).   So I signed everyone up including Jake.  We had to be to hurricane by 6:00 am.  I think we got there at 6:15 (pretty close, right?).  We were assigned the water table.  We started out with just water and kind of squished together but by the end we were pros we were the last stop before their next water station 13 miles away so we realized the bikers would get to us and then decide they really wanted something so we had some do water, some Gatorade, some gummies, some bananas, and  some goo.  We had it to a science and the kids loved every minute of it.  We were done and headed home by 10:30 a.m.  I would love to do it again.  The athletes were so appreciative and it made all of us feel good to do something for someone else.

she was so excited.  All of us would cheer and get so happy everytime we would make a good hand off.

by the end Jor was the final chance to get something so she had a little bit of everything by her and had to listen for what they wold yell they wanted.

Some of them put the water in their containers and would save it for later.

I think Jantz handed off 3 waters and some goo.  She was proud of herself too (it was a little intimidating when they came by so fast).
