Youth Conference was the first weekend in June. This year the stake decided to do a pioneer trek in pine valley. We got jaice all packed in to her bucket and headed to the Stake Center at 7:30 am. She wasn't very excited about going but she at least let me get a picture of her. Once we got to the stake center and saw everyone looked just like her she felt a little better. When they got to Pine Valley they were put in families, set up camp, they were able to go to the orphanage and adopt babies (Jaicelyn got twins), and started to build the temple. On Sat they were driven from the temple and their camp and started their trek across the river (Sweetwater Crossing) when the men carried the women and children across and then they did the women's pull. They had some awesome stories off pioneers during their trek and had to deal with losing their babies along the way. They also had some fun with a square dance and more stories. Jaice said she was glad she went and learned a lot about her ancestry and had a little glimpse of how hard it must of been to be a pioneer.
