Valentines Day 2011

We had another "Loving" day again this year. On Sat. Terry and I went to Chili's for dinner (yummy). On Sunday we made cupcakes and took them around to all our family. On Monday I left some ballons, a card, and little presents for the girls and Terry. But I think Jadyn had the best Valentines of all......................

Jaice and Jantzyn playing with their balloons. You can kindof see Jaicelyn's valentines unicorn in the background.

.......This is one happy girl! Her friend Ryan brought her over balloons and flowers, and visited with her for about an hour before he officially asked her to be his valentine. She was in heaven.

Poor Jor, no valentine for her yet...(which is ok by me and her dad), but she was happy for Jadyn. And it's not like she didn't get anything. I spoiled her this year and got her new room decor and a dress for valentines. Anyway hope eveyone else felt loved this year too.
Happy Valentine's from us to you!

Jantzyn's 1st Grade Program

Jantzyn has been so excited for Terry and I to watch her program. Today was the big day (i wasn't able to attend the parents show, so we went to the school show). It was called "Our Town, Our World". She did a great job! We can't believe her 1st grade year is almost over.

This picture is to show you her size compared to the rest of the 1st grader's. She gets tired of always being the smallest but I think it's cute.

Saying her part "We want to welcome you to our 1st grade program."

Doing the swing with her partner. Each class did a dance. Her class was a square dance.

Some more swinging.

Jaicelyn's 4th Grade Wax Museum

For this semester's book reports the 4th graders had to read autobiographies, type up a 1 page report, put a picture and name of the person they read about and the funnest part of the report dress up as the person and become part of the wax museum. They went around to each class room and they were to be still like a statue, then if their desk was tapped they had to tell some things about the person and at the end say who they were.

Jaice and some of her friends getting ready to watch jantzyn's 1st grade program.

Jacielyn's class.

Jaicelyn was Harriett Tubman. Sorry you will have to look sideways ( I couldn't figure how to turn the picture after I put it on the blog).

On Martin Luther King day. Terry had the day off and had really been wanting to take the girls sledding. It had been so cold and we thought for sure Pine Valley would have snow that he didn't even call ahead to check (I told him he didn't need too). When they got there they did have snow but the road was closed to get close enough to sled on it. So they headed to Enterprise. Not very much snow there either but it was enough the girls were able to get a taste of what fun winter is. THey sleded for a while played on the playground at the school and had hot chocolate. THen headed home for a warm bath and dinner.

Our New Years Weekend

Happy New Year! This year the two older girls had plans for new years (Jadyn was with her friends and Jorrin was babysitting trying to earn money for more clothes), so it was just Terry, Jaicelyn, Jantzyn, and I. We hadn't seen Tangled yet and Jaicelyn had been asking when we could go so with figured it would be a good night to see it. We all loved it, especially Terry it is now second to Little Mermaid in Disney movies for him.

After stuffing ourselves on movie popcorn, candy, and pop we dropped Jaice off to help Jorrin babysit and came home. By about 11:45 I felt sick and had to go to bed. Terry and the three girls watched the fireworks, banged pots and pans and rang in the new year together.

Jorrin took this picture our first minute in 2011. Hopefully it a great year.
The morning of Jan 1st we headed up to Salt Lake to watch the Jazz vs. Grizzlies. We stopped in Provo and ate at the original Brick Oven. For some reason it is better than the one in ST. G. Then dropped Jantzyn off at Austin's, and headed to the Gateway mall for parking and a very short shopping trip (it was way too cold to be outside).
We got to the arena about 1 1/2 hrs before the game started so we could go down and watch the players practice and sign autographs. Terry was like a little boy. He LOVES going to live sporting events.

Coach Sloan signing autographs.

Jaicelyn was the only one that would get her picture with the Jazz Dancers. She loved going to the game the only time she was bored was during the actual playing time of the game. She loved before the game, time outs, and half time, she also loved getting a huge bag of cotton candy all to herself (she did share though).

The guy and 3 of the 5 girls before the game.

Action shot.

Jay and Jor were intense during this play. It must have been after the Jazz had lost their big lead and were fighting to win the game.

Jaicelyn and her blue lips (from all her cotton candy) enjoying what must have been a time out.

We also visited and stayed with Austin, Marianne, and Jenna (but I only got video and haven't figured out how to use the flip with my blog yet), and saw their cute new home. We also visited our friends the Maag's (they have two cute boys the older girls ages and 2 girls the same ages as the younger two, we like to see them every time we go up). We also stopped and visited Kevin, Jen, and fam on the way home. When we headed home it was starting to snow lightly in Payson but stopped as soon as we hit nephi. little did we know it would make it all the way down to St. George.
On monday we woke up to snow! It was the girls last day of Christmas break and they enjoyed every minunte of it. I didn't even make them clean anything that day. They played in the snow from the morning until it was too dark to see anymore.
Jaicelyn getting ready to pelt someone with a snowball.

Jantzyn trying to make a snowman. But she said "it was too hard" and gave up to go throw snowballs.
