Jaice knew this camp was very important. It's how Jadyn got recognized when she tried out her freshman year and Jaice knew she could do the same thing. She was so excited/scared for it. Terry gave her a blessing the night before to help calm her and let her know that we all (including Heavenly Father) want her to be happy and care about her. She started with the JV girls each game and she played awesome every game. She ended up scoring 2 times and had some great headers and passes. She also played defense a couple of times (and did really well). She had fun getting to know the girls and they had a fun sleep over and went swimming together also. Her b-day fell on the 2nd day of the camp and all of the girls sang to her and wished her a happy b-day. Also on that day was the Womens World Cup semi finals that Robyn so graciously hosted for the whole team to watch at her house. We took some popcicles over and gave them out for her B-day treat for the girls. It made Jaice feel special and this camp really helped with her self esteem, letting her know if she wants it bad enough she can achieve it!
