Christmas Count down

Jor sent me a picture of her cute Christmas tree and living room she decorated for her apartment!  She is quite the decorating natural (now if she only had lots of money to get everything she wanted to decorate with).

On Friday the 1st we started our Christmas countdown. We tried it last year and it was so much fun we wanted to do it again.  Last year we got our PJ's so the kids weren't very surprised when they opened their presents to see pj's again.  I think they were a little confused as to why they were Minnie's and the boys got Boba Fet.  But we just smiled and said it's just PJ's.  Then on our 2nd count down night we had Gma and Gpa come down.  We had everyone wear their PJ's and close their eyes.  I handed each person a wrapped gift and then told them to open them.  The girls all got landyard with mickey heads and on the back was a ticket to Disneyland.  The boys, me and my mom and dad all got sling mickey head backpacks with a ticket inside.  The girls were surprised but said they knew something was up when Terry and I kept telling them they needed to keep up on their homework and when I told both of them to bring home their pe clothes including their nikes.  It was fun to watch their faces when they asked when we were going and when we said on Monday after school they freaked out.  Jadyn and Jorrin already knew.  We had to tell them for their work schedules.  But we were pretty good and keeping in a secret from the other two.  We also told them grandma and grandpa would be joining us Thursday -Saturday. On day three the activity was to head up to grandma's and we would be making some fun things for our trip.  The girls made Christmas minnie ears and jake and Terry worked on a mickey paper chain for our tree that would go with us on the trip.  Then on monday before we headed out we had Gma and Gpa come down for one last countdown item before we left.  Everyone opened their gifts and got a new mickey mouse sweatshirt to wear.  Days 4-9 are in next post (our Merriest Christmas on earth).
