We all headed up to the semi game which was Fri October 19. We stayed at the Hampton in Lehi with Terry's parents and Jadyn and Jorrin. When we went to check in there was a sign that said Terry was the "Guest of the Day" and he got a bag of goodies. So we had to take a picture of it!!
We got something to eat at subway and then headed to the field to watch the girls play. We knew this game would probably be harder than the actual state championship game so if the girls could just make it past Logan they would have a real shot at winning state. It was a very hard fought game. I think Logan out played the girls the first half. They got the first goal of the game and then right before half time Ashley popped one over their goalies head to go into half time tied 1-1. The second half seemed like it lasted forever with both sides controlling the ball evenly. With about 8 minutes left in the game Tylei put one in off a corner kick by Kenzee. Then the last 8 minutes seemed like an eternity while Logan fought hard but our defense held strong (even through Jaicelyns panic attack) and held them off. The girls were exhausted but so excited to have finally made it past the semis. The coaches told Jaice she was the MVP of the game. They had put her on Logans biggest scorer and she shut her down the whole game. We went to dinner and listened to the other semi game to find out SC would be playing Orem in the final.
We always have such a wonderful support system and today was no different. We were so thankful for all the family that came to Jaice's game.
