Five Girls and A Guy: Our Brian Head Christmas/New Years trip

We headed up to Brian Head Sunday after sacrament. We had heard there was going to be a storm and wanted to get there before it starting snowing. We arrived around 4 and got settled in. We hung out and looked around the condo resort while we waited for Bridger to get there. He arrived around 8. We ate the pizza we had brought up and then the kids couldn't wait so they found a small hill and went sledding by the condo until they got too cold and then came in played some games and watched a movie. We decided the next day we would sleep in and just go sledding and enjoy the New Years Eve festivities that started at 6 that evening and then go skiing the next day on New Years Day.

On the 31st the kids got up around 9 we had french toast and got ready to go check out the resort. We found out we were right next to the Navajo lifts. We could walk right out to the lift. So since Tim and Jake had their equipment they went down the slope, while Jor and Bridger went to find him some snow boots (he forgot to bring some). The girls made a snowman and Jantzyn went on the hunt to take pictures with her polaroid. When everyone got cold enough, we headed in for some lunch and Bridger taught us some really fun new games. We headed down to the resort around 5:30 to watch the torch light parade and fireworks. When we got there because of the wind they had cancelled the fireworks. So we headed back to the condo and did some night sledding. Tim had found a shovel so they made a little jump and the girls kept trying to hit it. We came back in for Potato soup. After dinner we played more games and watched movies until midnight. Terry wanted to sit in the Jacuzzi so me and Jantz went with him. Then we banged pots and pans gave our kisses and headed to bed so we could get up early the next morning to hit the slopes.

Tues Jan 1st. We got up and got all bundled up and caught the shuttle to the Giant Step lifts. We got everyone's equipment rented and headed out. It was supposed to be really cold that day but it didn't feel too bad. Jake went down the first couple times with Jantzyn and then she was fine to go by herself. I have never seen someone get so good at something so fast like she does. She loved every minute of it. Jor decided to try skiing since that is what Bridger does and he was there to help her. She actually did quite well at it too. She only fell 2 times and was getting faster at coming down each time. She still isn't sure if skiing is for her and next time Bridger promised he would try snowboarding with her. Jake, Jaice and Tim had a blast too and went down as many times as they could before having to break for food. We came back to the condo and had left over pizza and soup. Then everyone headed right back out. By 4 which was the end of the day pass everyone was exhausted and ready to head back to the condo (well except Jantz she could of stayed longer..hahaha). We returned our rentals and everyone found a souvenir shirt (or outfit for jor) and went back to the condo to eat pork sandwiches for dinner. After Jay and Jake had to head home so he could start his new job the next day. So we got packed up and then played a couple games and went to bed. We got up at 5:00 so we could get Tim to the airport in Vegas by 9:00. It was such a fun trip another great Christmas memory was made.
